Importing a (used car) into Cambodia
Anyone have any experience of this? I know how to ship a car there but not so clear on the process and costs on the Cambo end. Any experience or input would be appreciated.

Importing a car
Has anyone here imported their car to Cambodia? I'd be interested to know how it went. I understand that the import duties are high but how is that calculated on a used car?

OK, the Inquisition begins: I have had 3 businesses in Europe. It may differ from country to country but in my case it was a nightmare, took endless time and money. After that i had been solidly found myself in a TAX Straightjacket and had to fund completely useless Stateorganisations that claimed ...

Re: 'State of Emergency'/full lockdown
Re the India comparisons: they aren't doing too bad really. You can't look at absolute numbers, you have to assess it relative to population. 3000 covid deaths sounds bad but it's fuck all out of 1.4 billion people. The UK got up to almost 2000 deaths per day at the worst and India has 20x the UK po...

I'm not sure that has any statistical relevance as about 78% of American adults are obese anyway.hooplehead wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:11 amhospitalized or dead of corona, 78% were obese. (USA numbers)

Re: Are house prices dropping because of Covid?
Just look at UK and US housing markets they're booming as governments constantly print money (look at M1 money stock). Yes I get why asset prices would increase in countries where governments are spunking trillions on inflating the economy. Not sure that Cambodians have gotten anywhere near that am...

Are house prices dropping because of Covid?
There has clearly been serious economic damage from Covid and usually this would eventually lead to distressed property sellers having to sell in a hurry and thus a drop in house prices. From what I can gather in Cambodia prices haven't dropped let alone crashed. Is it just because of a lack of debt...

Qatar Airways offer the Al Maha service to Gold/Platinum frequent fliers so I would expect it's possible to pay for that service too. Basically it's a meet and greet service. A hot chick is there as you step off the jet with your name on a board, she fast tracks you through any formalities and puts ...

Siem Reap is fucked on a whole other level. A place completely dependent on tourism and the tap got turned off. It's not just the guides, the hotels, restaurants etc. It affects literally the whole economy - the shops, the tuktuks, the girls giving the handjobs. With all the roadworks there too it l...

I tell you what if the perma-ban is too harsh for you we can have the same bet but the penalty is a name change. If you lose you are no longer V12, you are cock-warmer. If you win you can decide my new name.
I'm up for either.

Re: Health certificate for visa that you're not infected by coronavirus
Did my test today, I cannot help thinking that I fucked up by scanning the QR code and checking in. As a covid testing centre, surely it's 100% guaranteed to have a covid case there every day. Looks to me, that, despite bragging about bribing the Cambodian Government to obtain a 1 yr Business visa,...
