Logitech unifying receiver
Anyone know where in Phnom Penh to buy just a unifying receiver. Don't want/need a new mouse/keyboard, just the receiver.... like this https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81n55zBRh1L._AC_UL436_.jpg As in, actually know they have them in stock? Not just some random PC shop where you've bought random ...

Re: Power outages and traffic lights
So it means no WiFi. How is it affecting 4G? Towers usually have a backup power supply, should be fine for the duration. Except all the people who's wifi is out switch to using 4G, the cell network gets overloaded and falls back to 3G, or even 2G. Been happening with Smart near the airport for the ...

Yeah, google or duckduckgo etc are your friend. Sweet Memory Store have Pis. Dunno about wires/sensors/components/accessories/arduinos. When you find some you could let us know!

Re: ssd AND RAM WORTH IMPROVING ON HOW OLD A COMPUTER?
Any machine will benefit from an SSD and as much RAM as the (lower of what the) motherboard and OS will support. You'll have to decide for yourself whether putting the money towards a new machine would be a better use for it.

Re: Tips for first time flashing a phone?
Ok, so I have a bit of an obscure phone that I want to experiment on it says it's a Samsung G1701 (seen somewhere else that calls it a Maya systems jetfon) made for a HK based company. No one has bothered to make a ROM for it. How would I go about estimating which one would be a good fit? There's a...

Re: Tap water, strange smell, weird taste
It has tasted/smelled "earthy" around Pochentong for nearly 2 weeks. Used to be OK for making tea, tastes pretty foul now, even after boiling. We don't have a roof tank, water comes straight off the main so it's not because it's been standing around. It happened at least once before in the last 4 ye...

Ecuador - probably everywhere. In the mountains: Ibarra, Cotacachi, Otavalo. Quito, Banos (natural hot baths), Cuenca (civilised), Loja (favourite), Vilcabamba (hippy central). At sea level: Salinas, Montanita (party hard), Olon (super chillout), Puerto Lopez (diving). Peru - Lima is ok (has some ni...

Multiple (concurrent) K visas
Our son already has a K visa in his Ecuadorian passport.
Tomorrow I'll pick up his shiny new UK passport.
We'll take a trip to Thailand soon.
I'm guessing there's nothing stopping us getting a K visa in his UK passport when we return?

For the last couple of days Digi have been blocking outbound pings. Haven't bothered calling them about it because what's the point?

Ah. Isn't the point of Azure and AWS etc that you run on someone else's hardware? Surely cheaper to pay for a month or two of service than build a beast of a PC to run it locally?dv8inpp wrote:Azure stack. Owncloud or the huawei version. A learning platform
