I was once invited by a seemingly prominent much-liked dude to go there really late, when things get sloppy.Micmac wrote:The Pontoon is an fine establishment with extremely friendly patrons,I personally wouldnt hesitate to take the significant other.
When *he* was there, no one touched us. It was cool.

Re: your preferred stop for fish and chips
all fish n chips here is a disappointment, nothing like the real thing :) I think you should open a fish and chips shop in Phnom Penh Jamie. You could even start a fight club out back or something. I still think my earlier post is valid. Have BritCham do a symposium on fish and chips. Showcase 2-3 ...

[ In a droll manner. ] I am still awaiting my invitation to modhood to prevent any further technical bumfoolery ... Hire a fireman BEFORE the fire, thanks. I propose the next K440 mix up (<-- intentional choice of words) to be vegan-only at Artillery or the Vegetarian. Almond shakes only $4.

Good Dreams Steak and Khmer Food
Where did this fantastic Khmer place move to? It was near the Rock, and before the economic boom near the Sihanouk Blvd junction with St. 51 Rue de Pasteur. It was just plastic chairs and tables, and later they added cheap bamboo booths, but they served some DELICIOUS medium-rare steak on a round of...

Anybody got the projected tourist numbers for this high season?
On the surface, it seems better than last year because there are no big funerals, plane crashes, bombings near big hubs, etc.
Pretty clear if the tourists want to come back ...
