Christmas dinner
Brooklyn Pizza has a Glazed Ham dinner for Christmas this year. Are there any other good options? Looking for a decent roast of some sort with the trimmings.

A good single malt?
Angkor Mart usually has a Lagavulin 16 for around $60. A great whisky.

Saving for college
It's hard to predict what college costs in the US will be in the future. A number of states have started free JC and that seems to be the likely trend. If you want you kid to go to school in the US, consider a gap year while they get residency. A little extra maturity, plus a year working a shit job...

Re: ExNet Taxi hail app
I've had fairly good luck with Exnet. But every time they get to my house, they don't seem to have 3G. We live out north a bit, but I have no problem, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I also tried PassApp and learned a lesson. We were picked up in a 20-year old Camry. About halfway home a tire goes...

Re: Medical exam
Thanks all. I ended up going to Khema as it was relatively nearby. The good thing it was a first class clinic and very professional. I arrived around 9:15 and was done by 10:00 blood test, urine test, exam and x-ray all completed right there. Went for coffee and the results were completed in an hour...

Medical exam
I've been offered a job in Malaysia and need a physical with blood test, urine test and chest x-ray. I'll be paying for it. Where's the best place to get it done in Phnom Penh? Thanks

Re: Import Duty
Update: No issue with the guitars on entry. However, JetStar refused to let the archtop on the plane, even though they sold me a ticket. Fortunately, it survived being checked.

Re: Import Duty
We're flying into PP and the guitars are both in hard shell cases. I bought a ticket for one of them as it's not a flight case. The movers are supposed to be door to door. I'm told we won't need to go to S'ville. I guess I'll just trust them.

Import Duty
My wife and I are moving to Cambodia next week. My wife is Khmer and she owns our house there. Our stuff was picked up by the movers and will be on a boat in a couple of days. It's all used personal goods, a few pieces of furniture. The most expensive thing is my guitar amp. We originally told the m...

Seek help in finding my husband
It's like she's channeling Mary Astor in The Maltese Falcon. The desperate damsel in distress, the stiff language, the overly-dramatic taking offense, the search for the mysterious item/husband, hints of huge sums, it's all there. Very entertaining thread.

Re: An alternate method of obtaining a Khmer wedding license
I'll have to give it a try. My Khmer wife and I were married in Singapore 5 years ago and have lived there since. We'll be moving to PP at least for the short term soon. But since there's no spousal visa yet, I guess it won't make much difference either way.

Re: Bottled craft beer for sale
We've been seeing a new craft beer in Singapore called Brewlander. It's a Singapore company contract brewing at Kingdom in PP. It's pretty decent. Has anyone seen it in PP yet?
