Re: Cambodia Visas
A lot to read here. My question is this . . . I want to enter and stay in Cambodia for six-months to do volunteer work at a school. What should I do? Get a tourist visa for thirty days and then extend it while in country? I read that extending a visa for thirty days is easy but what about extending ...

Decent place to stay in Pp
So, I am moving to Kep. But upon my arrival in PP I want to find a decent (but not expensive) place to stay for four or five days. Some place reasonably safe, somewhere near things I will need to get myself organized for my stay in-country.
Any suggestions?

Re: Living in Kep
Good info. I take it Kampats are ex-pats, right? I will try to avoid them. Good idea, though, live in kampot and travel to Kep.
Thanks for the FB group. Sent a request to join.
Can I get what I need to live in Kampot (food)?

Re: Living in Kep
Well, I guess that's best -- get there and figure it out. I did Streetview and, ya, ain't much there. Well, I am expected back in Germany in six months so believe I can deal with anything. I am there to work during the week and will travel weekends. Quiet is OK but thanks for the warnings.

Re: Living in Kep
What is the nearest place to get anything like food and such? Kampot? Or domeplace closer? Yeah, my living budget is null so 25$ a night bungalows are out if the question. Can live at the school but believe that will get old quickly. Was hoping to find a cheap flat somewhere in the vicinity. I read ...

Mobile phone
Is having a cell phone (with data) a big, expensive deal in Cambodia? Will be living in Kep. Can I use my phone from Germany there and simply buy a card for it?
