Re: Is this possible
I didn’t want to pay for unwanted mandatory out patient coverage added to my existing health insurance policy, maybe 60,000 baht more. For a Canadian, that’s a lot smoked meat, poutine and Montreal bagels.

Re: Is this possible
Thank you very much guys. I think that the current visa requirements exclude me. Luckily, the Thai Immigration honcho came back, must have had a cup of human kindness (me, I had a Valium), said go to office Nov 11 and everything should be okay. I thought of Cambodia as a fall back because I’ve come ...

Is this possible
Hi all,
I’m a Canadian senior in Thailand and am having problems getting my Thai OA visa converted to a marriage visa.
Is it possible for me alone to go from Bangkok by air to Phnom Penh? If so, what are my requirements to stay there until Thailand will let me in again?
Cheers

Riverside-ish New Years Eve late meal
A few years ago we ate at the old La Patate, so so steak, but lots of it, and their terrific fries. Under $30. Then, at about 11 pm down to riverside for all the excitement, haha. Last year was looking at the Wat Phnom fireworks from our hotel room, terrific glass so no sound. Where the heck can we ...

Just got through. They aren’t doing Christmas lunch this year, just catering.

Hagar Catering
Is Hagar Catering still open? I’m thinking their Christmas lunch might be great but I can’t contact them to reserve, website or phones.

Re: Tuktuk fish MK2? Matt Morrison sell bar that's not his... Kampot
I haven't been to Ellie's in a couple of years. They used to do great Bennies (best in Kampot), home fries, pancakes, sandwiches, and coffee - friendly and pleasant staff too. What happened?

Re: Berbere Spice
I know both places, the Soi 3 one is now half restaurant half music hell and the one on the sub Soi is okay - funny though, they import their injera (Sara makes its own). The Soi is a drug dealer hangout. A year after the coup we were there when the army and a few cops raided the Soi, checked every ...

Yeah, I like Sara. But I'm in Thailand for a bit; I'll ask there when I'm back.

Berbere Spice
I'd really like a kilo of genuine Eitheopian berbere spice for my cooking follies. Any chance in PP?

Re: Sorry Frenchies - La Crêperie closes
About a year ago the two of us went to the creperie. When the food came my crepe was burned. The hostess said "apart from that, how was it!". Haven't returned.

Re: PP to Kompong Cham to Kratie (boat?) to PP again
We went from KC, big bus, to Kratie. It took the long loop for about five hours. From Kratie to Phnom Penh we took the VIP mini bus. Great ride and short - only 4.5 hours.

Hey Kachang,
I'm having a hard time finding the bus company that did a Battambang to KC direct run. Which one do you suggest?
Cheers
