Re: Data recovery broken internal drive
Mate Don't know if this will work for you (depends on what the fault is), but i saved data once following this method (and it is free). A lot of HD failures are associated with the massive temperature variations they undergo during their operational lifetime. From room temperature to 70 - 80 degrees...

Re: Indian 4 get death sentence: about bloody time
Many a shallow man calls for the death penalty, but would you be prepared to perform the execution yourself? Don't just say yes, think about it; have you killed before? Do you have the courage of your convictions or are you just another commentator with an opinion. No coming back from the DP, courts...

Re: America's Cup
I remember that, I recall this was about the time I became somewhat disenfranchised with the whole sport as it seemed to have degenerated to endless legal wrangling. Connor always struck me a a whiny bitch; a ferocious competitor but quite a poor sport. Watching this now it is gratifying to see the ...

Re: America's Cup
I had no idea that this is what had happened to Americas cup racing. Unbelievable, it's like F1 on water. First time I had a look was back when Dirty Dennis and Bondy were duking it out in Free-o, must have been back in mid-eighties. Then when TeamNZ had it. Both times the teams were driving these b...

Re: 'No Arrival or Waiting for Moto'
Not a bad read, entertaining and appreciate the effort. However, a bit too much effort, to wordy in places and sometimes difficult to wade thru a sentence and get to the actual intent. You seem to be using words just for the sake of it without enhancing the experience. Please continue to write, but ...

Re: For Sale: Honda XR650R
Used to kickstart my old DR600, down till you hit compression, up to top, down till decompressor clicks, up to top then boot it thru to start. Bit of a knack and still not something for the lightweights but in my day none of the big trailies had electric start.

We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC ...

Pattaya 'Shark' arrested for stabbing
Not all K1W1's are like this (myself included) :eyes: He was a long time poster on a popular Pattaya board, who eventually got banned for his promotion of unsafe practices with the ladies http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/asia/6569244/New-Zealander-arrested-after-stabbing-in-Thailand A hulking, tattooed ...

Re: IPAD vs Kindle?
If you only want a device for reading, go for the Kindle. Cheaper so you won't worry about it so much, better for reading outside in bright light, lighter weight, waaayyy longer battery life and holds thousands of books.

Re: myanmar dam construction stopped
This has always bugged me. The United Nations officially recognises the state as Myanmar, not Burma, so this legitimises the name IMO. Now, I can understand some governments that have a bug up their ass for their own political reasons (the UK for example) refusing to recognise a country and being pe...

The Perfect Bike
My first was dad's Yam FS1-50 (with spectacularly un-stylie open face orange helmet), followed by his T125 Stinger (VCool outside school once the baffles removed). I've ridden everything from my DR600 courier bike for the Fremantle Americas Cup to a Duke 900ss weekend toy, to my 1927 Douglas EW350 (...
