Re: Drivers license vending machine
Vending machine ? They couldn't pull that off in Silicon Valley much less PP. I paid for my renewal in late Nov and just got it a week ago after my TA called them for about the 11th time. Of course it expires Nov 30.

Re: The revival of vinyl and your first record bought
I haven't had a turntable since I kicked the French girl out of the house & she threw it on the floor 20 years ago. I kept the vinyl though. I was shocked how much money I got for them too >$500 before I moved to SEA. I was equally shocked how little I got for my books too. I had a shitload of hardb...

Re: Salsa (the condiment)
Maybe Later on Beach Rd might sell you some of theirs which is OK.brownexile wrote:Where can I find this, especially in Sihanoukville? I looked everywhere but they just don't seem to have it. I found Taco shells at the Orange supermarket but the cashiers and staff were clueless about what Salsa was.

Re: Salsa (the condiment)
True, but it's 100X better with naturally ripened tomatoes which don'r exist here.bipolar bear wrote:It's not exactly difficult to make and the ingredients are widely available.

I imagine that there'll be a few for sale from Otres on the Sihanoukville FB page. Might be worth a look.

....... just like K-Pop stars who are chaperoned & cloistered for fear that they'll find a boyfriend & kill their fan's virginal fantasies. What Your Name? wrote:I heard that those dancers are chaperoned everywhere outside of the restaurant for fear of defection or being corrupted by western/eastern capitalist decadence.

Re: Is it time to turn on the AC?
I don't think it's that hot here in Shitsville. That's a big reason why I don't live in Pig Penh. The breeze is strong & starts up about 10 am & days are comfortable. My fans are on, but I haven't thought about cranking the AC for a moment.

Re: should you eat in the North Korean restaurant
I'm pretty sure that their arms sales, huge meth labs & sophisticated counterfeiting operations pale in comparison to the dough they're garnering from their PP restaurant.

I think I'd break out the Kevlar for about 1/2 the ride.

Re: Passenger train services to Sihanoukville resume next month
If public toilets in most places are anything to go by, I suggest a 3-day fast and minimal drinking beforehand to spare oneself the horrors of a radioactive bog. I'm also hoping the staff are not ex Virak Buntham. I don't think most of us can party that long & there would probably be a couple murde...

Re: Most Dangerous Cities in Asia
^^^^ I love to read the Pattaya City News & Pattaya One crime sections - they're hilarious. The only places that felt more dangerous than a major city in the US to me were Manila, Cebu City, & Poipet. These come nowhere near cities in South & C America, & Mexico as far as raising my hackles.

It's not that hot here in SV. Pretty windy most of the day & the fan's been plenty good at night. I have noticed that the bum gun is now delightfully toasty though

Re: Best pizza in PP, all-you-can-eat tonight!
Other than Gonk, who can eat more than 1 pizza ? I could maybe gag down 1 med thin crust if I hadn't eaten all day. Now if it we're talking 'all you can eat' oysters or sushi I might put a hurting on their balance sheet.
