Yes Tony was a good guy.
I used to drink at his bar in PP and he used to frequent my hotel in Snooky.
RIP Tony.
Sorry to hear about his wife as well. Their daughter is a really nice kid.

I agree with LL, at least that is my experience with Jamie.
Also I agree with what the old fella Scoffer said as well.

Re: RIP Brett Sciaroni
RiP Brett. We often drank in the same places. He was a nice guy, quiet and unassuming, but incredibly powerful. He was the big man's lawyer and wrote a lot of the legislation in Cambo in the earlier days. Probably the best Tipper in PP. Female bar staff will be in mourning. Another long term expat p...

Re: Lending to expats
Recent exchanges on the freezer chop chop murder thread got me thinking about the follies of lending to expats. It seems a lot of ire towards the fella is that he owes many people thousands of bucks. I guess that’s understandable. .......... I’m aware of another situation where a group of friends l...

wow.
often went there with a group of ex-sihanoukville friends.
Indeed, food was not spectacular but good drinks and a very good value destination.

When Shane was really sick Adam helped him a whole bunch. Lots of money out of his own pocket. He asked for nothing just helped. Anyone who was friends with Shane knows this. Helping Adam in his time of need is just paying it forward. Now Adam needs some help not pretentious lectures. Johnny well s...

Re: Longtime expat, Bayon Pearnik owner suffers massive stroke
Adam is a very good long term friend of mine. Sadly I fear that is a death sentence all in its own. I like LJ but he really is the grim reaper. I’ve not seen him for several years: I reckon that’s added a decade or two onto my life expectancy. Last time we saw each other was at Scoffers wedding in ...

gavinmac; yes that happened in PP around 2006 which was orchestrated by another Sihanoukville resident as a result of what was in the Bits from the Beach in the Bayon Peanik when it was good and edgy. What was printed in Bits from the Beach that prompted a beating? too long a story to go into here....

Re: Longtime expat, Bayon Pearnik owner suffers massive stroke
Adam is a very good long term friend of mine. This stroke happened over a week ago. Given the living arrangements, my guess is that the stroke happened quite some time before he was found, which unfortunately compounds the severity of a stroke. rektj00, yes that happened in Sihanoukville in around 2...
