Re: First post, need info regarding teaching
Anyway, trying to drag this back on track! I guess even with CELTAs there are going to be different methods applied here or there. One big difference that appears to have arisen here is that with the TEFL I took, they review grammar whilst they show you how to teach it. Cambod's CELTA didn't touch ...

Re: First post, need info regarding teaching
Just curious, If I have the privledge of staying in a shoddy apartment with no safes on site, where would be the best place to keep my money / passport? Do banks offer a safety deposit box, or should I just not accept any accomidation without a safe and good sturdy doors and bars on the windows lol...

Re: Burger Review
I made the stupid mistake of grabbing a K Burger the other day....no wonder the place is empty, fucking awful! Yeah. Worst burger I've ever eaten. Anywhere. I'd love to know what they put in those things. Some kind of rehydrated meaty stuff (I won't say beef!) laced with MSG and some other choice p...

Re: First post, need info regarding teaching
Ok, mate. I'll clarify a couple things just so we're clear: Come on, I thought we were just having fun while playing tit-for-tat! At first, yes. Then it went downhill. Most of that spat was me defending and you telling me how crap my cert was. Also: compare its worthiness to the University of Cambri...

Re: innocence to experience
Speaking Khmer is banned at these events! Finding the place is easy enough - contact me if you make it back in time for this one. That's not right. You can't invite ken svay to an event with young Cambodian women and tell him he can't speak Khmer. That's part of his game. What's next, are you going...

Re: Poipet: The good, the bad & the ugly
From experience Poipet is a place you want to spend as little amount of time as possible in. On no account cross the border into Cambodia in the evening as you will be stuck in Poipet with no where to go. Please stay in Aranyaprathet on the Thai side, its a lot safer. It's also much nicer. I actual...

Re: First post, need info regarding teaching
Steady on dear. Don't get your panties in a bunch! I asked you what you did learn (as all you talked about is what you didn't learn). Seems to be a re-occuring theme in your arguments. Inability to read and understand what people have written in an objective manner. You are entirely subjective. Mor...

Re: First post, need info regarding teaching
LoL, I didn't take a creativity course. I signed up for a teaching methodology course. Learn the basics, get creative later. Enjoyed it? It was 4 intense weeks of hell! Sorry, we didn't have the luxury (nor did we have the time) to be taking "cultural holidays." This was a serious course. Steady on...
