Re: Beware Agoda and the Nana
I booked with Agoda and got cancelled. I paid the Nana for one night and two weeks later the Nana charged me again but triple. Obviously the bank will knock back the illegal transaction as it is still pending. I suggested that a signature is easy to forge, but my passport tells the story of where I ...

I haven't been a kiwi for twenty years. Would I durance pay up if you weren't wearing a seat belt - maybe not. Here in Queensland a record number of cannabis affected drivers have been charged this weekend but there hasn't been a fatality. Maybe everyone is driving too slowly.

Re: ANZAC Day 2016
We like our myths. A digger this week said that we should spend more time looking after the victims of our latest wars and less time waving flags. Ex servicemen all over the world get a bum deal. Thatcher didn't want cripples in the Falklands victory parade and in Australia so many quite young men h...

Good work Gav. Did someone mention waving Australian flags made in China day? Good to see that other guy pop up again, is it Blake or Flake?

Beware Agoda and the Nana
Only two bad experiences on this trip. Agoda cancelled my booking for one night at the Nana because I didn't supply them with photos of my credit card and passport. Ridiculous request which I thought was a scam but they did cancel the booking and did refund the payment immediately. I got to the Nana...

Fair enough Marv, but what if you are injured in an accident and need hospital treatment? I think you should pay your own bills.

Neither bike or moto helmets are compulsory in many US states. It would interfere with some ancient amendment written by old white men a few hundred years ago.

All my visas are stamped used. It's better than having a visa stamped dead.

Re: Is this the future for gold tower 42 ?
I think a lot of the buildings in Bangkok abandoned in the nineties were completed after ten years or so. They don't necessarily deteriorate too badly. There are Roman buildings still standing. That Hemcheat theatre is the worst thing I have seen in Cambodia. Go down the lane on the western side and ...

Re: KT Laundry -- The Worst?
Modern Laundry on Pasteur was good before, run by a clever your girl. Last week 24 hours became 48 hours and the staff are disinterested and slow. There is a landromat on 154 before 63.

Re: American Eric Erdman arrested in Phnom Penh on visa charges - Khmer media report it as child sex offence arrest
Well Eric was correct about being followed and investigated. Some here doubted him, not me. How Kafkaesqe this all is, what a fuck up by the Embassy. Hey Gav, if this happened to someone in the States how many millions would he receive in compensation from the courts? Good luck to you Eric, but don'...

Re: Being followed
I remember Stewie saying once that they probably had files on all of us. I think he was probably correct. If Felder says it happened to him then it does happen. I would suggest that the OP talks to the Aussie copper who solves all those crimes. Some on here either haven't been here long enough to kn...
