Re: What would you do?
Pecahead, Didn't you stay at the Himawari when you first came to Cambodia? I mean, you paid at least a dime a month for that spot. I assume you can pack your stuff up and find a better apartment. If people (including your landlord) don't respect your property they or you need to go. BTW, flipping ou...
Re: MMMM rum
Bought Diplomatico last week and tasted it straight up next to the Ron Colonial and the Ron Colonial was much better. I was way off. I also tried them both with coke and a lime and the Diplomatico was better when mixing.

1. When seeing two guys hold hands no longer seems gay 2. When a good day is the sound of birds drowning out the sound of Khmer 3. When boredom is replaced with being excited to visit the latest coffee shop 30 minutes away 4. After you find out your sweet innocent girlfriend knows every bar girl in ...

Re: White males (of all ages)- have you been fleeced by your Khmer partner?
A Khmer girl I haven't dated in 4 years hit me up on facebook the other day asking for money, not the first time. When I politely declined she said, "I knew you weren't going to send me money". And I replied, "ok good, so you finally understand basic reasoning now". She quickly unfriended me, but to...

GT, what makes the Bamboo Train a scam? Call me a simpleton, but I loved it. I'll go again when I get back to Battambang.Gin&Tonic wrote:Bamboo train is the biggest tourist scam in Battambang (possibly the world) followed closely by that horrific boat ride to Siem reap.
I have no idea why anyone would do those.

Re: Things to do in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang for returning visitors
Battambang is a great time. I highly recommend spending a day or two there. Tips: Unfortunately, I heard the Balcony closed. Shame, love that place. Also, do not waste your time or money on La Villa, super overrated. Instead, check out Prasat Banan, the Bamboo Train, and Romcheik 5 Artspace. We real...
Re: MMMM rum
New purchase, Ron Colonial. Never heard of it, but thought id give it a try. Turns out it's very nice. Smooth, fruit flavors and with a very subtle touch of Guatemalan spice. Also found out they were recently purchased by the Zacapa Family. I used one cub, opened up nicely. https://s15.postimg.cc/vr...

Re: Why are you still in Cambodia?
Cambodia is an amazing place to live, but it's not for everyone. I think for some of us, we enjoy the chaos and mysteries of the Kingdom. Certainly, the people make it special. Move to Thailand for a month and you'll understand what I mean. Maybe the poster simply misses it like I do but has a stran...
Re: MMMM rum
On a side note, I remember when Cyrcee Bar offered $3 shots of Ron Zacapa 23. It's the best rum I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. No mixer needed and that's the lowest price I have ever seen.
