They’ve tried to do a job on Vibol Kong, head of tax department.
His responses:
I don’t remember.
It is false.
Where you get that information.
It is not correct.
I transferred already.
I don’t want to talk about this.
I don’t know.
Someone’s pants are on fire.

Re: FAO TEFLers, proof readers and English speakers
I know it’s maybe not technically wrong but ‘quarter to’ in stead of ‘a quarter to’ sounds clumsy and unnatural. If we waiting for someone to pick us up at 8 O'clock and we both know it's around 8 o'clock and you ask me the time, I would say " quarter to". Answering "a quarter to" sounds clumsy to ...

Re: FAO TEFLers, proof readers and English speakers
Damn I didn't even spot the capital M for maths (maths is fine, only yanks say math). The smoke break is correct. So Maths shouldn’t be capitalised? Then given that, I assume English also shouldn’t be capitalised given that it refers to the subject and not the nationality? I would probably have cap...

Would you rather that they used ‘Math’?Miguelito wrote:Does "Maths" count as one or two mistakes?
I used ‘Maths’ all the way through my school career - the subject was never called Mathematics.

That’s harsh. England didn’t humiliate their fans in USA 94. They were unbeaten in those finals.pedros wrote:This is the 9th world cup I've followed (since Mexico '86). Humiliation and defeat have been part and parcel for the past 32 years.
2 years to go until it all starts up again.

Re: World Cup 2018
What an incredibly disappointing match for an England fan. Absolutely a missed opportunity. Schoolyard tactics trying to hit the quick guy on the break repeatedly. Their one potentially world class player in Kane dropped so deep all the way through the tournament which nullified his impact. Pity fo...

Re: World Cup 2018
There is a palpable sense of tense anticipation here in the UK, with people caught between natural optimism and not wanting to jinx things by getting ahead of themselves. Most English simply can't believe we've made it this far - before the tournament few pundits gave the team any chance of getting...

It’s certainly got some sort of smelly ‘krueng’ in it. Don’t think it is prahoc... but I’m no chef!Lucky Lucan wrote:Doesn't Amok have prahoc in it anyway? I've eaten it with families outside of tourist areas but would agree it's usually just for special occasions.
