Re: Chances of 'State of Emergency'/full lockdown
The moment you use the money press to finance your debts (just like the US does, though still getting away with it), you create hyper-inflation (be it 10% or be it 1000%, the same). You don't know what you are talking about. Hyperinflation is defined as at least 50% inflation per month, that's over...

Re: Chances of 'State of Emergency'/full lockdown
The testing here is unlike Korea and Western countries etc. Elsewhere they test with a long very flexible plastic swab that goes all of the way to the top of your nose then turns the corner and keeps going until it feels like it's almost in the back of your throat. It's fucking horrible actually but...

Re: Chances of 'State of Emergency'/full lockdown
.... It's a massive advantage to borrow in your own currency. Interestingly, Eurozone countries are in a twilight zone, Greece for example technically borrows in its own currency but has almost no say in monetary policy, Greece cannot itself print its way out of trouble. Yeah, the same naive reason...

Re: Chances of 'State of Emergency'/full lockdown
Pooh worries about debt. Don’t worry. The old debt is bad myth has been out bed forever. Sovereign nations print money, its not owed to anyone. Money is free now at point one percent. As long as economic growth is more than point one its no problem. Australia has just recorded 3.3% growth. We owe h...

Cambo is great without most of the tourists too. PP fully open but incredible hotel deals around. I'm living like a lord with over 80% discount on my hotel suite. Plus hardly anyone else around so I have the pool to myself. These vaccines are going to really piss on my bonfire. I'm really glad I was...

I bet the poor delivery drivers end up personally out of pocket in some of these cases. What a complete cunt this guy is.

I haven't been offered a cow but I have been offered other farm animals. The first time I went to ...

Right/wrong - getting involved in things in Cambodia
I saw a truck smash into a parked car today leaving some damage on the forward wing. The driver of the truck stopped initially but ended up driving off, I took down his number plate. In a normal country I would have left a note under the wiper saying what had happened and left my number as a witness...

Do you think my new credit card will show up?
After I lost a UK credit card some time ago I asked that my replacement be sent to me in Cambodia. Now I have lost other cards before whilst overseas and the bank couriered a replacement to me in days via DHL or Fedex. Now in the case of Barclaycard it sounds like they just put a stamp on it and sen...

Independence day celebrations
I live a short walk from the independence monument, so was wondering whether to pop down later and have a look. What actually unfolds down there and when?

Re: FAO people who have huskies etc in hot countries
Quite a large % of "cute type" little dogs around in pp look ill suited to this climate. Really dense fur, absolutely panting and suffering all the time. You expect in poorer countries that there will be more animal cruelty and neglect, you only ever go to one 3rd world zoo, yikes. But in pp a lot o...
