North Korea does not have the greatest reputation abroad - death camps, dictators and nuclear-missile-testing don't make for good PR. But in some Asian cities the Pyongyang restaurant chain is seeking to change minds with good food and great service.

Re: Is it possible to be best friends with a Khmer?
I remember chatting with a guy I know over here who'd always dated Asians - Khmers, Japanese etc. - over here, but who'd gone on to marry a white female expat because he said he wanted ''someone to have long conversations with when I'm old.'' He was inferring that it would be impossible to have the...

Re: Is it possible to be best friends with a Khmer?
I don’t think that Khmers or any other nationality/ethnicity are more or less trustworthy than another. But as you get older it becomes harder to have deep friendship bonds with other people. Add to that the culture or language barrier and it becomes that much more difficult. I have experienced the ...

Re: The Insidious Work of Christian Swindlers...
Jay is onto something. Christianity would do wonders Cambodia. Take for instance the Philippines, a catholic country. You aren't likely to see any trannies or hookers there, that's for sure. I heard the Vatican was planning to move to Angeles City since the place is known for its virtue and decidedl...

People like him are why the rising cost of living in Cambodia isn't such a bad thing. If they can't afford to live in Pattaya or Angeles, then they shouldn't be able to afford living here either.

For what it's worth, I preferred GZ when he was a roly poly jovial figure rather than the dour dough face he is exhibiting these days. Anyhoo...

Re: Australian tourism consultant locks hooker in house
Lesson of the day. Stay away from hookers, full stop. Gay.....? or a Eunuch.....? Not many men choose Cambodia as their home of choice with the plan to stay away from women.... He said to stay away from hookers, not to stay away from women. Unless you assume the latter to always be the former. In w...

True Detective really is amazing.
And speaking of twisted, Season 2 of Hannibal has started. IMHO Mads Mikkelsen is the best Lecter that has been portrayed on screen.

As for the Three Stooges... Does anyone really doubt they will be back before long? They probably are already back under different usernames.

Re: i think i preferred the old k440
http://www.khmer440.com/k/tag/mac-hathaway/ Those who date bargirls seem to invest considerable psychological effort in removing the stain of being bargirls in the first place. The first task of many men upon commencing a relationship with a bargirl is to transform her into the Western ideal of an E...
