Re: Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
Ok, so I read through a lot of the previous posts on this topic already before posting this, but I had some quick questions because I keep reading conflicting information from various sources. I am really interested in trying out these pizzas and shakes and I'm wondering if these places are actuall...

Does the Cambodian government try to tax people for online work?
Ok, so here in Japan I am teaching English at a school and the school handles my taxes. I still go to the tax office once a year to fill out the paperwork and turn the forms in. I'm curious if I relocated to Cambodia, would I be taxed if the Cambodian government knows I make a lot of money from onli...

Re: Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
They smoke on Riverside - one barang used to sit at the cafes and smoke a big fatty every morning. I smell it often around the Russian market. Never heard of a barang getting busted for smoking or possession of a small amount. I wouldn't be so bold as to smoke cannabis out in public, especially if ...

Re: Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
I will not talk about other things anymore, but is cannabis considered a drug on this forum and in Cambodia? It is illegal, there have been regular reports of thousands of plants being destroyed in Kirivong in Takeo. Now and again there are stories about farmers being caught smoking, they usually g...

Re: Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
I am going to leave this thread open, but be careful with what you discuss. This internet forum is not the place to discuss the particulars of where or how to buy or use drugs, and comments specifically addressing those issues will be nixed (and I'll delete some specific questions from Whiteboy). H...

Re: Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
Yes, I definitely don't plan to eat a ton of happy pizza or down a few happy shakes. I would eat one or two slices or just have a shake alone and see how I feel in an hour. I can always go back for more later. Smoking cannabis is my preferred method though. I'm not really a huge fan of edibles. So a...

Smoking and ingesting cannabis?
Ok, so I read through a lot of the previous posts on this topic already before posting this, but I had some quick questions because I keep reading conflicting information from various sources. Some websites are mentioning that there are these places called "Happy" Pizza and that "happy" refers to ca...

Re: Non teaching opportunities foreigners in Cambodia?
One to one usually comes after a few years here and you have built up a reputation. You said: 'If I end up having to teach Engilsh, that will be alright.' I have doubts that you would do this, as your post seems to indicate that this would be acceptable, but not desirable. If you don't enjoy it, yo...

Re: List of concerns with regard to a sudden move to Cambodia?
That's the official line, but in practice I have heard reports that the schools will often say " do you have a degree?" "No" " well, can you get one? Meaning, can you get a copy from Koh San Rd so I can tick this box here on my form and make some money out of you? Certainly the bigger schools like ...

Re: 2017 reported deaths of tourists and expats in Cambodia
I read some of these articles...why are so many of them so mysterious? Is it just due to Cambodia still being a developing nation, therefore not caught up with the rest of the world on confirming causes of death or are a lot of these people being murdered and it is being covered up? I'm sure that ex...

Re: is there fast, stable and reasonably-priced WIFI/internet in Cambodia?
I work online and use Smart G3. it works quite good for me. Coverage is fine and speed is ok. Can easily Skype call. Comparable cheap also. I assume you probably live in Cambodia as do the people replying to this post, but do you know if there are reasonable visitor options for WIFI with hotspots a...

Thanks man!logos wrote:To be more specific you can easily find a fairly stable fast Wi-Fi connection, and late calls won't be an issue. 4g is cheap and can be used as backup for the Wi-Fi should it be down.

Re: is there fast, stable and reasonably-priced WIFI/internet in Cambodia?
You're asking if you would be too noisy speaking on the phone? In Cambodia? Maybe you should stay in Japan. It's not the internet connection you have to worry about but the constant power cuts. Well, this is a reasonable question to ask for someone who has never been to Cambodia lol. Ok, so based o...
