Re: Suppose you wanted some elaborate piece of furniture mad
I don't see what would be so hard about making it, especially in Cambodia. Welding/bending a few metal tubes, creating a mounting bracking system for the monitors and getting a seat made. All things which are easily done on the cheap in Cambodia. Plenty of MDF/foam padding/upholstering guys around ...

Re: Hotel / guesthouse /hotel with secured parking in PP
Most hotels with >$30 pricing do have a night guard, sitting outside at the street. Though no "official" parking, this helps against theft, especially when you have small money/gifts for the guard. What it doesn't prevent is denting damage, for that, you'll need dedicated parking spaces.

Re: Online storage?
If your idea would be suitably useful, somebody else would have announced that on a large scale. I didn't hear of it. So there's no point coming up with a new idea as if it's any good, someone else would have done it already. Makes those Facebook dicks look like idiots trying something new. New ide...

Re: Suppose you wanted some elaborate piece of furniture mad
Sure, not that difficult, though: - Expect the thing to be built with Cambodian Technology - Which implies, it'll fall apart within 3 months - The seating comfort will be sub-zero Of course, unless you have complete drawings, use western materials and have a dedicated western builder. Though in that...

Re: Kampot moto accident
I'm told that the mainstream expat community in Kampot are arranging a whip-round to help with the hospital expenses of the surviving Khmer. They want to send a clear message to the host Cambodian community that they absolutely don't condone the antics of the growing influx of young white irrespons...

Re: Having your hair cut, Khmer style
The trick to get the hairdresser to create what you want, is bring your picture. Yourr passport is enough. They'll study 15 minutes, have some more peaks during the work and there you go for a 1:1 copy cat of your younger days. Last time, I decided to let the hairdresser use his own choices and inde...

Anyone qualified to answer this question: How hard is it for a Khmer person to learn to speak Thai on a professional level (for example, to the point of being able to deal with Thai customers by phone, e-mail etc.)? Meaning not just conversational level, when they are able to have a chat M12 does s...

Simply NEVER trust any company in the cloud, you are just a simple business decision away from a goodbye. A business decision, where nobody will or does ask your opinion.
Always take care to have stuff you don't want to loose in your own possession.
