Re: How can Sharkys be improved?
I think a sports bar and/or late night. Good food (which I thought it was known for but haven't eaten in a while)
You never get to 10pm at night and say 'let's go to Sharkys'. It could open itself up to more DJs, but still play more alternative/indie/rock music.

Re: Foreigner pulled from truck and beaten during today's marches?
Does anyone know who he is? Tourist or expat? Pissed and shirtless makes me think tourist, but with some of the expats I'm seeing these days, I'm not so sure. Now the foreign press will likely focus on this, rather than the wider point at hand. Quite embarrassing, really. If someone has died, then m...

Re: RIP Roger from Quealys
I saw Roger 4 days after being admitted, 3 days after having the surgery and is hands were still covered in the blood and feces from when he was admitted. He was using the said hands to open and drink from a bottle of water as I walked in. The day he was admitted, the nurse was given $10 to clean hi...

Re: RIP Tim Johnson
He was 55, I remember celebrating his 50th birthday not long after I first met him. Indeed he was a very interesting character, at times frustrating, but at heart he was a good person. He suffered from diabetes, bi-polar disorder, and a few other afflictions. He was on numerous medications and did l...

Re: Why must I buy all the bananas?
I had a friend visit last year who had the same complaint, about not buying single bananas. He thought the $1 - $1.25 for a bunch of bananas was too expensive, and that at Bolton market you can get assorted loose bananas for cheaper. Just buy the bananas. Those you don't want save for later, give to...
