Re: Unlawful Killing by Keith Allen
Maybe they should have killed her when she came to Cambodia, that could have been much more easily explained. This was my thinking too. If, for whatever reason, it was felt more expedient to dispatch her while overseas, it would make much more sense to do so somewhere like Cambodia; (perhaps during...

Al Fayed's disdain for the UK establishment predates Diana's association with Dodi by several years, when his application for British nationality was denied due to serious irregularities in his business and tax affairs: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk/336797.stm People who have had close dealings with...

I barely use fb except to access a couple of networking groups, and leave messages for my brother, but I haven't been able to access it for about 4 days. After reading this thread I just tried again using a VPN and it works fine. Hmmm ...

Tell them it's really bad luck to keep the decorations up after Twelfth Night. They'll be falling over their superstitious selves to get rid of them.

Re: Good Hospitals in Phnom Penh
Also on St.592 on the junction of 315 is a brand spanking new hospital which is about to open. It's called Victoria International Hospital though I have no further details. As long as the doctors aren't new too. Herein, I think, lies the problem. No matter how spanking new the facilities, nor how w...

Re: Good Hospitals in Phnom Penh
My one experience of Sen Sok was horrendous. I knew more about my condition than the so-called "doctor" did, and I'd only had it for a week. It's completely money-orientated (in my experience). You get what you pay for and Cambodia is the last place you want to skimp on medical expenses. Interestin...

Re: Good Hospitals in Phnom Penh
Sen Sok International University Hospital has competent foreign medical staff in some specializations and is cheaper and seems less money-orientated than Rattanak (with whom I had a very bad experience). I have never been admitted as an in-patient there though. For minor issues, I have always found ...

I bought an app from Google Play a couple of days ago using a card linked to my UK bank account. Maybe it's an American thang? Has anyone successfully used a debit/credit card issued in Cambodia to purchase from Google Play Store?

As a single guy with no immediate family and living an almost homeless lifestyle, I've turned to http://www.roadid.com. I now have a 'dogtag' on my wrist with an emergency contact number on it plus I subscribe to the online site where I store all my medical history and insurance details. There is a...

Re: Gary Glitter arrested in the UK
Pretty well all of these blogs (some of which border on frothing lunacy or have a political agenda which is about as subtle as a rubber cosh) naming 'senior political figures from the Thatcher era', are basically regurgitating an article which appeared in Scallywag magazine a decade or so ago, whose...

Cebu Pacific now also fly to Manila from Siem Reap. Around $110 (plus no doubt, the usual budget airline add-ons) one-way, last time I checked.
