Get someone pregnant. Or in your case, sisters. Mother and daughter?

Re: Where can I buy Oud or Agarwood in Cambodia ?
The common word for oud, AKA aquilaria agallochana, a valued infected wood, the darker the better, is KULM CHUN (aromatic, Chinese). Better to buy it in Bangkok in little Arabia near GRACE HOTEL. In the mid-1990s did some field research for this treasured aromatic. But because it was and is a restri...

Re: Long term luggage storage
Establish a long-term business relationship with a cheap guesthouse. They will store your bags for free. For years. But not with top notch security.

Re: Vietnam Visa was denied.
In my seasoned experience there are official reasons and unofficial reasons. I once was perceived to be an enemy of an expat in Cambodia (long story, never mind, something about jealousy). We talked about the weather when I met him on a flight to country X. Arriving there, I was denied entry, stuck ...

Re: Safe deposit boxes
A poster mentions the legal liability issues. Well, how do they manage to operate safety box services in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and everywhere else in the world? I have several and I don't see those entrepreneurs ringing their hands over 'what if...?' risks. What are the legisla...

Not Godot wrote "When you sign up for a Paypal account, one of the first things they ask you is the country you live in. If you say Cambodia, that means you cannot receive payments via PayPal. If you say another country (perfectly fine if you are a citizen of said other country), then virtually any ...

Re: Where to buy a leaf blower...
Please do not turn PNH into California suburbia with those noisy machines. I just spent two months in Sacramento's equivalent of beverly Hills and I loathed waking up to Mexican gardeners operating those hideous contraptions.

Re: ABA requires personal visit to cash out
This ^ Hermespan is being a nutter as always. All banks have these kind of restrictions. You are not 'cashing out'. You are closing down an account and that requires certain processes to be gone through as per international norms. Simply do what gavinmac says: withdraw everything but the minimum an...

Re: ABA requires personal visit to cash out
It was no problem wiring funds from my ABA savings account to overseas. The problem is from my fixed deposits and flexi accounts.gavinmac wrote:Can you not wire anything from the account remotely? Even if they don't let you "cash out," could you wire out all but a dollar?

Ah, what a contrast to Thaivisa with its polite and respectful banter. Why is KH440 so antagonistic?
The mushroom restaurant is one of my favourites for reliable, minimal selection, moderate quantity, if not exactly healthy - vegetarian food.

Re: $11 one way, PP-SR, Bassaka Air
Just tried looking up a price for a return airfare in October. Multiple dates each way all 'flight not found'. A previous poster mentioned no booking more than two weeks in advance. Not confidence inspiring. But might be worth watching this airline however.

*Current* situation re: 15-day border pass to Delta?
I mean for foreigners going to Phu Quoc and the lower Mekong delta. I hear different stories from different people, and it seems to change from month to month. I wish to visit the island and perhaps some other places south of Can Tho and don't want the expense/delay/hassle of getting a real visa. A ...

ABA requires personal visit to cash out
Is this normal/ethical/a change? It certainly isn't convenient. I am travelling. I want to cash out and wire transfer overseas either the contents of a flexi account or my fixed deposit. I have to walk through the door, despite AVA having ibanking. This means they are no better than MFIs, in fact wo...
