Ah yes, Love beer. Or Archer... or any one of the other strange beers that are offered in the Khmer beergardens/karaokes...
True, I've never tried those, though mainly because they also have the more popular brands.
I don't think I've ever tried Bayon. I did drink Crown at my local steambot place in SR and once spent an afternoon drinking Black Panther.
I still want to try a bitter though, be it Coopers or anything else.
And I will get out more often just as soon as I'm freer!

Pffft...I know nothing about V(ery)B(ad) swill....and don't look to me as a font of knowledge, I make no such claims...there are much more knowledgeable posters here...it's not how long you have spent here, but how "wide" your time has been.Fox Mulder wrote:VB was available in Cambodia some time ago, I am not sure when but it was well before i came out here. Perhaps a long time expat like felderkarb could answer this one.

Having recently moved house across Phnom Penh, I got around to checking the fridge in my local minimart earlier this week. No VB but they do have Warsteiner at 80 cents a can for a very crisp and flavoursome imported German beer. I'm impressed.
Twitter: Not my circus, not my monkeys - I sold #K440
For the last few years my favorite beer has been Oetinger beer , also a imported German beer and the retail price is .55 c, [ on riverside] Also available by the carton at Sydney supermarket at $10.20 a carton [24] and up to a few months ago was only $8.50 a carton. If Sydney s/m has run out, which always happens, ask them to reorder and phone you when it comes in.keeping_it_riel wrote:

There were awnings & signs everywhere in 1994 in PP.Jacked Camry wrote:VB was indeed widely available circa 1993-1994 but thankfully disappeared shortly thereafter, never to be seen again. I could never understand why anyone would want to pay to drink it when you could just go to any urinal and get the same for free...Fox Mulder wrote:VB was available in Cambodia some time ago, I am not sure when but it was well before i came out here.
You couldn't go anywhere without seeing them.
