[quote="SunSan"86]How many people in Japan actually have this kind of toilet?[/quote86]
I don't have stats on the Super Toilet, but according to [url=http://www.khaleejtimes.com/Displayarti ... st54.xml86]this article[/url86], washlets (featuring anus washing, bidet washing, seat warming, and deodorization) are everywhere:
[quote86]... 'washlets' in Japan, which have become ubiquitous in recent decades.
The first models were imported from the United States, where they had been used mainly in hospitals, and quickly became standard in Japan in the booming 1980s, finding their way into at least [b86]70 percent[/b86] of Japanese homes now.[/quote86]
The article itself is actually about the next generation of smart toilets, which provide "urine analysis, the user's blood pressure and body temperature, and measures their weight with an inbuilt floor scale."

[quote="shizzle"0e]I've found the toilets in Japan to be far superior to anywhere else in the world. Referred to as the Super Toilet (in addition to offering bum gun/bidet features), it showcases such luxuries as a blow dryer, an automatic lid, automatic flushing, seat heating, ass massage, water temperature adjustments, self cleaning and fresh scent release. Apparently, smart toilets, in general, are more common than personal computers in Japanese households.
This is the control panel:

If I had a bog like that I don't think I'd leave the bathroom. I'd have my 42" TV on the wall and laptop in front of me; with regular massages I wouldn't need to move

Get one of those Android phones that you've been talking about. That will really increase your time spent in the bathroom. This graph is spot on:

Nice. Here in Cambo I would just find a Khmer person and train him/ her to do just that, and more. Create employment and save electricity at the same time...

When I lived there a lot of households seemed to have them. The heated seat was pure genius in my opinion. Why that hasn't caught on in the west is beyond me.
The super high tech controlled ones as per Shizzle's pic were a massive stress. I once ended up soaking someone's entire bathroom when I inquisitively pressed one of the buttons and then couldn't work out how to turn it off.
You need instruction to use those bad boys.

A heated seat? sounds like a fire hazard to me. I wonder who the first casualty will be. Japan seems to be a haven for exotic deaths. Crazy bastards...
