I don't even get what all the outrage about revealing a PM is all about. Much like with a personal letter, the sender's right to privacy doesn't bind the recipient at all. Whatever privacy protections are in place simply protect the letter from being intercepted by third parties. If the recipient chooses to reveal the content, that might be unfair or immoral depending on the circumstances, certainly, but that's a judgment call and I think in this particular case scobienz had good reasons to expose vladimir.
Vladimir's line of reasoning is quite hilarious. It reminds me of concentration camp staffers whose excuse was, "I wasn't involved in any killings, I just scrubbed the floors". If being a lawyer for a certain company is morally wrong, then editing papers for the same company is equally wrong. Any other view is plain hypocrisy.
