Meaning bread?

Waggon Wheel on St. 51 has sourdough mixed flour bread, about 1.5kg, 3USD. I think they come in fresh on Wednesdays, then they're frozen.

I also still buy the bread from VIP Minimart further down St. 51. I don't know where he sources it from but he sells it cheaper ;)

Not unless there's one in the "not Cambodia" section.

Lucky steals from you even when they stick to the prices advertised. Compare with Thai Hout or Bayon. You can't beat them for stock though.

BTW, where are the least worst bakeries? I like the Shop, but that shit is obviously way overpriced. Any suggestions apart from Asia Europe on Sihanouk? I'd be especially interested in any stuff which is NOT sweet.

More suggestions?
I used to get my full grain from Asia Europe on Sihanouk but last time I went they don't sell it any more, Kiwi bakery on riverside full grain is OK but more expensive.

Offer to show her the price tag on the shelf if needed. If she won't budge you have two choices: ask to talk to a manager or just leave the apples and pay for the rest. Only difference is that in the West there are laws on false advertisement (and if you catch a mistake, they usually have to either match the price, give you an extra 10% off or give it for free if it's under 10$ or something like that) whereas in Cambodia no such thing exists. And lol @ apples for 3.95$/kilo. Like holy shit.
The same anywhere?? I really can't imagine Tiffany at the Gelsons in Encino saying "we always ring them up at that price" and not acknowledging a mistake. Tiffany would know it was wrong to charge a customer more than the advertised price and it would be fixed. Not same.
Strangely, I've had a run of luck with the Target stores in the US ringing up from the barcodes with less than the price printed on the same tag.

I never shopped in Luckys ever when living in PP. Come to that I detest supermarket / mall shopping of any kind when in Asia. No excuse for it. Whatever the actual price was for those apples, you were done. You're paying for the facilities not for the produce. Why the hell dont guys stick to markets- thats what SE asia is about. In vietnam again I never used supermarkets.

Lucky has the best variety and prices for fresh food, if, like me, you distrust and avoid the markets. Bayon is by far the best option for other items.
Lucky has been working a scam with their specials for some time. They sell an item at a special price for a certain period of time, then take the price tags off, while keeping it in the specials display. When you take it through the checkout, you are charged full price, but a lot of suckers don't notice. Nice trick.

It's a lot less hassle to go to a supermarket than a hot, smelly and crowded market. I hate markets and shopping in general, that's a job for pixies, not guys.

' Come to that I detest supermarket / mall shopping of any kind when in Asia. No excuse for it.'

Aircon, very few flies/ no offal lying on the ground / no motodops harassing you inside / wine kept in a comparatively cool area.

Not to mention all the stuff they sell hat you would never find in an outdoor market, like kosher pickles, deli items, cheeses blah blah blah

Shopping ?

Sounds like Pixie work to me, the type of work to be done before they return to the kitchen to cook dinner while I am in the pub.

Me things the Radioactive One is going to have a wee little chat with LPB soon about his macho MCP postings on here. I think the Panda Look will soon become fashionable again, as sported by the fashion leader LPB.
