I don't think even the reporters are all that successful in getting money from the hacks...rob77 wrote:At times it seems more like they are getting the whole story from here then putting their name at the top. You guys should syndicate this content and get some money from the hacks.gavinmac wrote:On a related note, do both English-language local papers have reporters who regularly read this discussion forum looking for story ideas?

I do wish that when the PP Post take a story from 440 they would actually credit us. At least the Cambodia Daily do that.
Anyway, I can say a few more things about this amazing blog....
1) We've established a direct line of communication with the blogger.
2) He has been 'bounced' into telling his story to a journo from Post who visited him today. (''Look, we're going to name you and write about this anyway so you might as well talk to us.'') I presume this will be in the 2/8/11 edition tomorrow.
3) Astonishingly, he's been able to keep a great sense of humor whilst blogging and I'm not sure he realizes how risky his personal situation is as a result of this. He's a young guy and rather impetuous.
4) For the moment, he personally has chosen to take his own blog down. He hasn't yet been busted.
5) No one is sure how the blog became know publicly within days. The URL was only released to a few friends. It was supposed to stay under the radar.
5) His blog may be back online later available on a invite only/subscription/donation basis via Paypal. He needs help in there not only to live but also for his upcoming trial.

I agree, fair comment. Meth is such a dirty, misery drug so why sympathise with this loser. He knew the risks and so has to live with the consequences; one can always get a more meaningful occupation as a means to survive.

Cunts. They often use this tactic to get expats to talk to them, especially those in weaker situations.keeping_it_riel wrote:2) He has been 'bounced' into telling his story to a journo from Post who visited him today. Funny how they don't have any balls to try strong arming one of the robber barons they always interview with such deference and lame questioning.
I would love to get access to the rest of the story, and pay for it

You're just a hack trying to get a story:
You're not based in Camb and your interest is nothing by financial,
Care to Comment ????
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

If he hadn't been fucked up on meth himself he probably wouldn't have sold the shit, and he's paying for it already. He doesn't need mercenary hacks threatening him with outing while he's stuck in Prey Sar.kinard wrote:Phuket2006 wrote:what was he done in for.
