We've got 10 regular bicycles that we're replacing, wondering who would be the best organisation to pass them on to.
They're all fully functional, good tyres, baskets etc. Would prefer non-religious org.
Cheers

Just don't send them to Sunshine Orphanages, they let them rot away.

these guys are based just outside of kampot- currently expanding to incorporate a health center- two km out of town servicing a really impoverished community of rice farmers and salt field workers children.

I'm sure Choice charity would find grateful owners for them. Choice are run from Chivas Shack in St 130 if your interested.
I personally know (and help) a small non religious NGO, headed by a local and a staff of volunteers, that does an excellent job of feeding & taking care of street kids. Very low key, no govt funding, not many connections but they're on the ground and do really good work. They're located near Toul tom pong. They could certainly use the bikes for their staff, and are looking for other, various sponsors. They're also always in need of things like milk powder & various toys, books & anything for kids 1 to 12.
Many of the kids helped by them manage to go to school (with financial assistance provided by sponsors, like 30/month) and some end up speaking good English & French. Feel free to contact me for details.

I missed this thread, hopefully they have found a good home..
