You don't believe it?
Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

I believe it. But I didn't know that there were crazy middle aged white dudes with crow bars riding tuk tuks around Sihanoukville and bashing people's faces in for no reason. I'll steer clear of that.

I was in Sihanoukville a few weeks ago and heard about a Western guy who was on a rampage and attacking people -- some of the expats were trying to get him deported. Maybe it was him. Aussie, I think.
Yeah, sounds pretty brutal.
Did you read the one further down the thread, a guy describing his 'enjoyable' dining experience. He refused to pay the $3 because the meal was so bad he didn't eat it. The tourist police ended up getting $100 out of him for the owner of the restaurant. Sounds like he was lucky to get away without a severe beating.
Lesson 1. Don't walk home at night. Run home instead. People will assume that something dangerous is chasing you and will leave you alone.
Lesson 2. Pay the bill, and walk away swearing under your breath. It has always worked for me.

The Aussie was, eventually, deported ... this is different.

How would leaving it at reception possibly help? If the person at reception takes it, what recourse do you have? Oh right, you could call the tourist police who would make you pay $100 for the offense caused to the hotel.digiboy wrote:never heard of locking that shit up in your bag, suitcase....?
or....leaving it at reception .....(if the don't have security safes)

"My boyfriend and I were walking along the beach in the evening on our way home from a bar, when a Cambodian man ran past, grabbed my bag from my shoulder and bolted into the darkness. (In it was my camera, both our phones, ipods, money etc)."
So....you go to a bar AND you take your camera, 2 phones, iPods, and money.....
uhmmm.....I usually go with just money...to a bar.....
