graffiti and no one cares?
What is going on here don't any one care about the sudden increase in graffiti that is going on here?
Cambodia needs to wake up before this becomes East Los Angles with graffiti and gang bangers.
It will scare away the tourists. I seen the graffiti on the place of the monks now .
Its going to get out of control. The Government don't seem to care until the PM's wall around his house get tagged.
I'm willing to help fund a anti graffiti crew to go around and cover up this shit. But the government needs to enforce or pass some stiff laws about this or this place will go to shit and fast. If i see someone tag my building I will personally shove the spray can up his ass

Are they tagging or painting?
Tagging bad, painting, not so bad.
Maybe mix the toughs with the talented painters and do a mix of street/traditional/murals on some blank walls.
They need to express themseleves in some way. As adults we have to channel it.

No they don't; for decades until now there has been next to no graffiti in the city. It has emerged very recently and is probably the work of one person or small gang. There's nothing artistic about it. You can see an example down Norodom at the moment.xtreme wrote:Are they tagging or painting?

I came, I argued, I'm out
Perhaps something the returnees have brought along with them?

There's a hundred and one things a tourist could be 'scared off' by in Cambodia. I doubt the graffiti will be that straw.AeroCambodia wrote:It will scare away the tourists.

There's a certain element amongst the barang here (not returnees) that are encouraging the Cambodians to start marking up their town with graffiti. I have witnessed only one piece of graffiti in the process of being painted here, and it was being done by a barang. After he finished and left, the house owner showed up and looked none to happy about it.
