Filipino scammer slips a mickey into Gavin Mac's drink, and our dear Gav wakes up with a very sore arse, minus his wallet.Username Taken wrote:You're visiting PP at the moment, aren't you?gavinmac wrote:How about this response:
Filipino scammer: "I like your hat."
You: "Mmmm, I like your ass. Let's go back to your place and fuck."
The he's got a dilemma, because he does want to get you back to his place, but probably doesn't want to agree to an ass fucking.
You should try that and report back with your findings.

Maybe this thread is a Scam?
I talked to the tourist police the local police the police near the royal place. 8 police come from all over to find out about this. They read this forum and the all the posts. They talked to there big boss. No one knows of any Singaporean man getting robbed.
None of them have received any reports of tourist being robbed of scammed out of money. They know nothing of the Singaporean man being robed. They said they asked all the big police about this and they say BS.
So maybe some one lost a game a cards with them maybe it was a crooked game . And now they have some agenda to post bad things about Filipino's.
I asked for some one to get me a number to any police man working on this case or the lady who got scammed. No one here has any real information.
So its every police man in Cambodia is in on this covering up for the Flip's or this thread is a lot of BS started by some one who got taken in a crooked game of cards or dont like Filipinos.
And the photos posted do NOT look like the man and woman or they changed there looks.
I say let them scam the stupid. Because right now there is 0 police in Phnom Penh looking for bad Filipinos.
If you want to meet them and play cards come to river side I will give you there phone number.
I would disregard every thing posted on all 8 pages as BS and go on having fun.
There is no scam only your muggers and thiefs running around.

Dude, are you out of your mind? Half the people I know have run into the Filipinos personally, have gone through the exact set up. This has been going on all over SE Asia for years.
Did you read Alex Watt's front page article? Is he some kind of anti-Filipino agent? Did he hallucinate those guys he met with?
How about all of the Interpol reports all over the internet that givel the exact details of the scam and where it has taken place, like Thailand?
Do you know how to use GOOGLE? You type something in, like FILIPINO CARD GAME SCAM and then you can read through the 500,000 or so hits that brings up, including Alex Watts very detailed firsthand account.
I heard about the Singaporean from a Khmer guy who knows everyone and everything that happens on Riverside. If that's what he heard it's probably true, and whoever you talked to either hadn't been told about it or figured it wasn't your business.
I think you are under some serious misconceptions about how Cambodia operates and the nature of their police force in general. You seem to have an irrational amount of trust in these guys, their competency, their level of knowledge, and their honesty if you're instantly willing to buy into whatever it is they are saying after being told what it's like here.
I don't know what else to tell you. I've run into one of them. Two people on this forum ran into one of them like a day ago and called him on it and he ran away, it's a pretty funny story.
And yeah, in fact, it is far more likely that every cop you had contact with had the same answers to give you and for the same reasons: They were either lying to you, they didn't know about it because they aren't the ones assigned, or it could be incompetence. I would guess they were just lying to you in part. But it could also be incompetence, indifference, or whatever.
You really need to take a deep breath and read up on this country a little, maybe talk to some folks who have lived here a while. You might not be so sure of everything you hear from the police or the government.
You are far from home. Things are very different here.
Go and google FILIPINO CARD GAME SCAM and read through a few pages of the articles please, and then come back and tell us who sounds crazy or dishonest: The posters here or the cops who act clueless?
PS: These are GANGS OF CON-MEN, THE FILIPINO MAFIA. There are more than two people doing this. So of course the photos have nothing to do with the people you met.
PPS: Did it occur to you that this forum doesn't want attention from the police? Or that showing them a thread where they are explicitly criticized wasn't a good idea because it could get other people into trouble? Let's hope the proprietor and myself aren't sharing a cell in Prey Sar soon because you think you're in fucking Kansas.

EXACTLY. And you told us about how you helped her file the report ... And yet these policemen said NO reports had been filed at all about tourists being scammed by Filipinos.fritspaap wrote:last week 2 customers went to their houses. one of them paid 1000$, she was crying at the reception downstairs. so i dont think she is making it up....
My oh my! How could that be? This is all so confusing.
... ...
Just read this thread and realized I was approached by one of these guys 2-3 weeks ago
He was very polite and as he left me I realized his buddy was watching us from a distance
At the time I just blew him off as bored and possibly homosexual (not that theres anything wrong with that)
So I was sitting on a bench near the river about sunset
Wearing my blue Khmer alphabet t-shirt bought at russian market
and my newish fitted baseball cap
Flip:"Hey thats a nice hat, are you from the US?"
Me:"How did you guess?" "Do you smoke weed?"
Me:-lights up big fat doobie-
Flip:"I really like baseball"
Me: -cough, cough-
Flip: "Well, nice to meet you I have to go"
Wish I would have known about the info in this thread before my encounter
Would have loved to play along with him some more
There is ZERO chance some police are not in on this, if theyre running this game on riverside everyday..

I was hit up twice today while walking by the river. First a guy driving by on a scooter stopped just to tell me that I had nice shorts then not 5 minutes later I was told that by another man that he liked my glasses. It seems that lately every time I am at Sorya someone has something positive to say about my fashion. These people here are so friendly.

Man I'm getting a complex now, I haven't been hit on yet. Maybe I should start wearing some clothes and buy some new thongs (flip flops).
