I am not sure which parts I have right and wrong please correct any misunderstandings that I might have
1. As a Canadian I will easily get a 25 dollar business visa at phnom penh airport. This visa will not allow me to leave and come back to the country , it is only when the visa is extended that it becomes multi entry?
2. I can not get a multi entry visa either before coming to Cambodia or at the airport?
3. Through a visa service such as Lucky I can get an extension of 6 months.
..that will give me a total of 6??. Months or will it be 6 plus 1 (7) months from the initial date of entry?
4. With this six month multiple entry visa I can go into and out of Cambodia numerous times at the poipet
Land crossing without additional feeS, bribes photos or visas?..?
5. Lucky or a competitor takes about 24 hours, and can not get the work done on a saturday or
government holiday?
Thanks, andrew

Correct, double check they give you the $25 visa before you leave the counter.andrewryan wrote:1. As a Canadian I will easily get a 25 dollar business visa at phnom penh airport. Correct again! you need a 6/12 mo. visa for multiple entryandrewryan wrote:2. I can not get a multi entry visa either before coming to Cambodia or at the airport?
If you buy a 6 month extension you will be good for a total of 7 monthsandrewryan wrote:3. Through a visa service such as Lucky I can get an extension of 6 months.

I recommend the travel agency next to Happy Herb Pizza as it makes ordering a happy pizza very convenient
It was $150 for a 6 mo. visa & $10 for a large happy pizza last time I did this (.50 for an ankgor draft)
You will be all set to visit Thailand as many times as you like, have fun on those bus rides to Poipet!andrewryan wrote:4. With this six month multiple entry visa I can go into and out of Cambodia numerous times at the poipet

They'll prob do on a sat but not 24hr on a public holiday. The rest of what you put is correct.andrewryan wrote:

Sublime has it exactly right. I might add that the $25 visa you want used to be called a "business visa", but is now called an "ordinary visa". At least that was the case a few months ago.
In any case, as Sublime says, make sure you get the $25 visa.

I think the only problem you will have is entering LOS, you only get 15 days each visit at overland crossings such as Poipet. I'm not sure how many times you can do this in a certain period of time ie, 6 months. If of course you are lucky enough to have a multi-entry Thai visa, then no worries!

Your answers are very much appreciated. As a follow up does anyone know of a visa service that can get my passport back to me in Siem reap. I arrive phnom penh airport on October 12, a Friday, at the end of the business day? The pchum Ben holiday is Sunday through Wednesday. My hope is to go directly by taxi from the airport to Siemreap, but would be very willing to stay Friday night in phnom penh if there was a visa service that could receive my passport at 1900 Friday or 0700 Saturday and get the visa back to me by Saturday night with a 6 or 12 month multiple extension. I need to take my Khmer girlfriend to the hospital in Bangkok , she will have a Thai visa but I will not, meaning I will have to do some border runs from Thailand. I am hoping my hospital bills and charm will take care of any Thai problems, and will get a Thai visa later if repeated hospital stays are required. So the immediate focus is getting a multiple Cambodian visa either right before the holiday, or right after the holiday if the hospital timing allows it.
Thanks for any advice.

You're gonna want to go to the immigration office right across the street from the airport to get your extension..andrewryan wrote:So the immediate focus is getting a multiple Cambodian visa either right before the holiday, or right after the holiday if the hospital timing allows it.

if they are open on friday afternoon or saturday that weekend...

I think you're pushing it. To be certain, I'd come in on the day before, and then you've at least got one business day to get it done. To get the visa on the Saturday of Pchum Ben is going to be very difficult if not impossible. The travel agents may not even be open.andrewryan wrote:Your answers are very much appreciated. Hello,
Please can you confirm that rules are the same now?
To get 1 year multientry to Cambodia i just need to get an ordinary visa at Pp airport and extend it the same day in front of airport for $150 ? no documents or reasons asked ?
Thank you.

6 months (not 1 year) for $150. It's $288 at Lucky/Monivong but unlikely cheaper if you choose the DIY path.
