So where's the best place in town to jump from if you want to kill yourself? Ideally, you'd want at least 10 stories. I used to work at a place that had a six story parking garage. About once a year someone would jump from it and land on the asphalt below. They died, but not always immediately.

Maybe the man wants to test out his diving skill, its hard to believe a person wants to commit suicide using this method jumping into water from that height.gavinmac wrote:So where's the best place in town to jump from if you want to kill yourself? Basing from the responses he seems to be well known, it shivers to me to think that he received no emotional support from his expat friends or whom the thinks as friends. I guess foreign deaths from what I read here over the years is just cross off as another drug addict or alcoholic problems.
Hope you will recover well and soon.

How high is it? Seems a lot of Khmers jump from there and many get fished out. Are they trying to drown or do they think the force of hitting the water will kill them?
Trying to drown yourself is not easy unless you weigh yourself down or something. Natural instinct will be to swim. Horrible way to die even if you succeed.

I physically walked across that bridge, an adult cant possibly get kill landing on your both feet, unless you try the Olympic diving tactic and hit your head on a steel on your way down.

What are you talking about? You make no sense. That cheap rice wine has done permanent damage.flying chicken wrote:... it shivers to me to think that he received no emotional support from his expat friends or whom the thinks as friends....

I am not sure what your message is.
Let me make my previous post a bit clearer. Expats in PP only care about themselves, the moment you are down and in misery you are on your own, and whats worse you get mock and redicule behind your back! Thats not now me and my friends roll man!!

I'd guess from this picture that it's about 12-15 meters high in the middle. The water can be quite shallow at times and a jump would result in hitting the river bed.gavinmac wrote:How high is it? Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
What emotional support are you talking about that he didn't get? You know fuck all about him or his friends.flying chicken wrote:I am not sure what your message is.

I'd be insulted if I jumped off a bridge and my friends were too stupid to see some comedy in it.
Behind his back? Are you talking about this thread? Where do you see his friends mocking and ridiculing him behind his back?
People who know him personally have said good things and people that don't have made some jokes.
Are you and your little friends really that sensitive?
Grow up FC.
You always think your Khmer friendships are so much better than barang friendships.
"Expats in PP only care about themselves..." Right, and I forget how kind, caring and loving all the Khmers are. I'm guessing no Expats in PP have ever helped you out since they only care about themselves? Exactly.
Someone just did 18 stories from a Phuket high rise.. And they are patching him back up !!gavinmac wrote:So where's the best place in town to jump from if you want to kill yourself? I'd jump from the Canadia Tower.gavinmac wrote:So where's the best place in town to jump from if you want to kill yourself? Ideally, you'd want at least 10 stories....
A scenic view on the way down.
Maybe he was listening to his old songs just prior.
Rated R for Ricecakes
I can just see it now. My best friend is Mr Alcohol, the barman and the bar girl. I tell them I'm so pissed off I want to die.flying chicken wrote:Maybe the man wants to test out his diving skill, its hard to believe a person wants to commit suicide using this method jumping into water from that height.gavinmac wrote:So where's the best place in town to jump from if you want to kill yourself? And you all will be wanting to shake my hand
