kampong cham new bar
just got back from a great week end new bar on the river called Chaplins. Good food ,cheap drinks . Run by wife of scots guy Charlie, great fun clean and entertaining. worth a try.
I've only ever driven through Kampong Cham previously and never thought much of the place until last week. Did a trip up to Steung Treng via Kampong Cham & Kratie and once you get off the national road, Kampong Cham is really quite beautiful. I didn't see this new bar, but definitely recommend any other folks that have only ever passed through Kampong Cham to stretch their legs for an hour or two around town. It's got pavements you can walk on without fear of traffic/parked vehicles/market stalls.*

I have forgotten basic grammar, and i am no longer in Cambodia!
Chaplins--why not Saklo's? That would be more khmer-friendly!

I'm sure where road 7 has more to explain the bridge than anything else. Banks are springing up in every town and city here.stevecz wrote:It's HE's Home town that is why there is so many banks nice retauarants and nice clean roads and a huge bridge over the river

Just got back from KP. Chaplins, the new bar, restaurant, guesthouse on the riverside was very nice. Had a great time - very clean, good food and friendly people. Will definitely hang out there again. Hope to see you dudes again. @Charlie, Ke, Ma, Ge, and Pu.
Stayed the night at Chaplin's in Kampong Cham. Nice clean room. Food was a real surprise. Had an amazing steak for dinner and an authentic English breakfast the following morning. Great addition to Kampong Cham.
