sleeping pills
Had this challenge for a mate last month in terms of Stilnox/Zolpiderm!
UCare (Stilnox was just over $30 from memory) , Naga clinic pharmacy (circa $25 for Stilnox) and Pharmacy La Gare (Zolpiderm generic for just under $20 again from memory) all have them for sale over the counter. I tried a few Khmer street pharmacies but did not find it but think there's a good chance Penn Vong on Sihanouk would have them cheaper (never made it to check).

toastie, let me (naively, perhaps) assume that you want these tabs to sleep.
Wrong approach.
Diagnose why you can't sleep and then adjust your schedule/type of work/diet/accommodation etc. to remedy that.
I had the job from hell for two years and after I quit the first thing I noticed was that within a few weeks, I was sleeping much better.
You spend 8 hours a day sleeping, nearly 1/3 of your life, so it's important to enjoy it.

.5 mg of Xanax works wonders foR me. or 5 mg Valium 30 minutes before bed..... Don't listen to the holistic mutters or you will be awake all night wondering why you can not sleep.toastie wrote:Awesome. Thanks guys!

5mg Alprazolam is quite a lot , can't really be compared with 5mg Diazepam

Think he meant .5mg, the dot's outside the quote. I agree 5mg would floor most people. Never liked xanax as they always left me really foggy the next day. Vlad had the best advice about treating the cause and not the symptom, but in a pinch diazepam works for me.boomer wrote:."5 mg of Xanax works wonders foR me. or 5 mg Valium 30 minutes before bed....."jm91 wrote:toastie wrote:Awesome. My mistake. .5 mg. yes 5mg and you would end up at the bottom of the bathtub like Whitney Houston.beerbaron wrote:Think he meant .5mg, the dot's outside the quote. I find that if I take .5 mg early and go to bed I wake up without grogginess.
The root causes of insomnia I suspect are varied but when I have lots of stress the pharmacy approach works for me as a temporary measure.

I'd like to take a strip of Stillnox with me when I go abroad, but would like to get a prescription so I won't have any trouble. Can anyone recommend a cheap doctor that won't be confused by this request?
I had a friend who got a random Khmer doctor to write him a Rx for Valium, but still had trouble with US customs as they said the Rx was invalid because it wasn't from a reputable doctor. Might have had to do with the fact he was bringing back 300 pills, but supposedly you're allowed to bring in up to a year's supply from a foreign country with a proper Rx. In the end they just took the pills and let him go after he ranted and raved about having a Rx and that he was going to get his lawyer involved. That was a few years ago, so I don't know if things are different now or not. Although, i can't imagine they've gotten more lax. Granted pills like these get abused quite often, but I took Ambien when I lived back home and my doctor had no reservations about writing a Rx for that. Probably a bigger kickback from the Pharm comp on that one.giblet wrote:I'd like to take a strip of Stillnox with me when I go abroad, but would like to get a prescription so I won't have any trouble. I usually just travel with my old Rx bottle for Ambian and have it filled with Valium, Advil, Immodium and other random OTC pills. The airline security staff opened the bottle once in Bangkok when I was on the way back to the US, but luckily I had no issues. Maybe because I was leaving Thailand, but they didn't seem to care about any of the pills.
