Looking for KHMER at-home NANNY for twins
Hi,
For those who know me, do you know anyone who can be a live in nanny/housekeeper to help my wife and I with our twin girls, now 1 month old.
Need someone capable, loving, and aware of modern techniques of caring for children or willing to listen and learn (we've had relatives just lie them down, stick a bottle in their mouth, then go to sleep whilst the baby feeds). Also someone who can help with cooking and cleaning around the house.
Looking for recommendations from people who know me and can recommend someone trustworthy. PM or call me. Thanks!

Hey, as a strange coincidence I was just wondering where you'd gotten to yesterday, hope all's well. I'd be interested in finding out how much a decent nanny costs too, probably cheaper than the useless excuse for one I have now.... And congratulations are in order too.

What are the modern techniques of caring for children? Are there iPhone apps and stuff?

For twins.
Just have my mother over for a couple of weeks. She spent some time telling my wife what a 'pleasure' it was to raise twin sons.

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

There are plenty of educational apps for pad computers. I'm not sure that was what he meant though.gavinmac wrote:What are the modern techniques of caring for children? Are there iPhone apps and stuff?

Congrats on the twins.

Congratulations on the twins.
We have twin boys, nearly two years old now. Finding a good, or indeed any nanny, has always been difficult. When we advertised, asked around etc, we would get lots of interest, but when they found out we have twins they ran a mile - can't blame them really. So be prepared to either hire two nannies or pay one nanny double.
Good luck!

Thanks all for the great replies (thanks Vlad for PM). I think this is the FIRST EVER post in my entire history when I havent been completely jumped on... weird.. not even 1 negative comment...kids really do inspire the best in everyone.
agree with posts above on twins. My sister also has twins and Im really looking forward to all the fun experiences that twins involve. Ive heard so many fun and funny things about having twins and already enjoying the experience. Unfortunately my sister told me she literally didnt sleep for the first 2 years and would often fall asleep when doing things like standing up washing the dishes. Really need to get some help with the kids to make sure they get great care and mum can have some time to recover too.
Florida.... I learnt many years ago that for longevity of my life I had to stop riding bikes as Im unable to refrain from riding pleasurably fast. My motorbike run ended at 3 medical evacuations to BKK. Now driving a Ford Raptor F150, which runs over people like me and keeps the babies safe at the same time.
