Lucky Supermarket
Lucky Supermarket
Has anyone had experiences of buying things from Lucky Supermarket on Sihanouk and then getting home and finding that some items weren't packed?
This happened a month or so ago, and I dismissed it as my error. Then yesterday, the same thing happened again.
Thieving little fuckers. Presumably, they ring the groceries up, don't bag them and then reverse the sales later and pocket the cash. It's only ever happened in that branch.

from what i understand that's not ACTUALLY a branch of lucky.... just using the name.
Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

That is the original Lucky Supermarket, the oldest supermarket in town.OrangeDragon wrote:from what i understand that's not ACTUALLY a branch of lucky.... just using the name.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Report to the manager - should be all on camera.
At least in Phnom Penh, the management is after such complaints.

I never had that problem. It sounds strange since the workers there are being filmed at all times and are forced to be searched and patted down upon exit.
If you're reading this you made poor life choices.
Aren't you in your 80's and shuffle around? A bit forgetful and such? Just sayin'...scobienz wrote:Has anyone had experiences of buying things from Lucky Supermarket on Sihanouk and then getting home and finding that some items weren't packed?

Don't you generally watch them as they bag the stuff, to make sure they aren't packing soft stuff under heavy stuff etc?
I find it a bit hard to believe they could scan an item then not put it in the bag when they are so close to the customer...

Guilty as charged.
Anyway, it seems that no one else has experience it. I'll put it down to me being unobservant. Anyway, Thai Hout has opened round the corner from me now, so no need to bother with Lucky any more

This has happened to me a number of times also and is one of top two the reasons I hate that place second only to their shameless price gouging.
However, I don't think they are stealing. What's happening is that when you go through the checkout with a full trolley, and after they've processed the items through their POS system, rather than put your paid-for shopping in two or three large bags, the fuckers insist on giving you up to eight or nine small and medium size bags and in all that confusion of white plastic, things go astray or a bag gets left behind. What adds to the confusion is the fact that there is always a pushy, impatient local behind you in the line trying to get their items checked out before the POS clerk has finished dealing with your stuff.
Anyway it's totally the supermarket's cuntish fault for three reasons:
1) They should give people fewer but bigger bags.
2) They should have 2 point of sale staff per transaction with one to do the UPC/ barcode stuff and deal with the cash and another doofus to pack the items for you.
3) Lucky supermarket are just cunts anyway.

Yes!! I had this last night/this morning...went to Lucky's last night and part of my shopping was 2 yoghurts. Get home unpack, look for a yoghurt a bit later but cannot find. I just think I've misplaced it as I've bought it as it's in the receipt. This morning I look again, still no yogurts and I just think I've been a bit of a twat and dropped them or something.
So glad you put this on here, at least I know I'm not going mental!

LOL@Jess
That's precisely my feeling. I thought I was going mad because I distinctly remember buying the damn things and I get home and can't find them anywhere.
Ahhhhh well, it's not the end of the world.

I'm grumpy and I'm 28 so...
Either or, I've had this happen before but didn't realize it until I was almost out of the market. The girl ran after me with a little bag and whatever was in it. If you look at the counters, there are bags everywhere and it's really easy to lose stuff.
