Sure, can't say I am an expert, I just got out of that plane with less of a brick in my head.Jock Jock wrote:Interesting comments about the 787, yet to fly on it. I believe the pressure is set to simulate 2000ft lower than a regular aircraft which makes it a lot more comfortable. But every BA hostess I chat too prefers the 747s, coz they are far more spacious in general, I tend to agree with them. A lot to be said for the days when designers didn't just try to cram every last inch of a plane with some kind of something.

those with the principles vlad has do not require monetary wealth. Money is not important enough for them to give up their principles.scobienz wrote:gavinmac wrote:I'm confused now. What preferable class of decent Khmers does Scobienz deal with? Lawyers?
I think he was (rather bizarrely) referring to Andy. I have no idea why.
vlad changes jobs more regularly than you date waitresses not because he gets fired, but because he gets righteously indignant at his (always) corrupt and rich bosses and resigns as a matter of principle, or something like that. Maybe it's their incompetence too. I don't know. This may or may not be true, but it seems that way.
I like that in him. I wish I was rich enough to have principles. Sadly, I'm neither rich nor principled.

But that's the thing. Vlad's clearly obsessed with money.violet wrote:those with the principles vlad has do not require monetary wealth. he is but being obsessed about money (consciously or otherwise) does not negate the other state of rejecting the importance of money when it comes to their principles. Humans are complex that way.

Once upon a time I had principles - but I was young and sold them to make money.violet wrote:those with the principles vlad has do not require monetary wealth. Many tears later I realised my mistake and sold my income to get my principles back.
Such is life - I guess?.
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Yep, real scumbag. I had reason to cross swords with him over time. Total scum, better off dead.
Before anyone gets annoyed with that comment, he contributed to the death of someone very close to me thanks to his nastiness.[/quote]
FWIW, I don't subscribe to the idea that somebody can make another person commit suicide.

What two under 30's recently died? And as a consequence of KiR? Come on, let's hear this theory.

That's two of you that have said two people. I didn't read the post as two people. Can we have confirmation of the number at least?gavinmac wrote:What two under 30's recently died? And as a consequence of KiR? Come on, let's hear this theory.

Earlier in this thread alifeapart somewhere said "they" so more than 1, now 2 is just my cautiously optimistic assumption "they" weren't even more people

I read "they" as the non-gender specific term which can be used in place of he or she, where a person wants to avoid identifying gender.metaleap wrote:Earlier in this thread alifeapart somewhere said "they" so more than 1, now 2 is just my cautiously optimistic assumption "they" weren't even more people
