KT Laundry -- The Worst?
KT Laundry -- The Worst?
I only use this service because it's literally around the corner and it's very convenient. However, in the past several weeks their service has been slipping.
*They lost two shirts of mine recently, probably put it in with someone else's clothes (I frequently get clothes that are not mine which I promptly return, wasting more of my time).
*There 24 hours service is a complete lie. Dropped it off 2:30pm Saturday go back at 5:30pm Sunday and they say it's not ready. I ask when and the useless airhead kid tells me 9pm. I go back at 8:45pm and it's all closed up. Wake up early to go there and get my clothes this morning and they STILL weren't ready. So I rummaged through my half-wet/half-dry clothes until I found a wrinkled pair I could wear to work today.
Absolutely sick of them. Besides buying a washing machine, does anyone have a good recommendation for Laundromats where the above won't happen? I used to go to a sweet old lady but she moved away to where I don't know. I live my the Old Market.

An expensive option is to Just get a girlfriend instead, but there are other benefits (like cooking and cleaning and other stuff women do well).Pecahead wrote:I

Get a cleaning lady and make it part of her job to do the Laundry as well as clean your place, should work out cheaper as well.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

I gave up on KT also. Same reasons - lost clothes, lack of sorrow about lost clothes, clothes never ready on time, they put a ten year old kid there to take orders and hand out clothes, etc.

They should put the whole of the golden Sorya mall through the laundromat. Hopefully they will lose everything.

It has a Belgian owner who is rarely there, so the business is run by his fruitcake girlfriend and her relatives. He has now returned to Belgium for a while so the service levels may slip further...gavinmac wrote:I gave up on KT also. Google or Y/pages Modern Laundry, they have about 8 branches, there is also a new one with machines on St 113 #57, 1.5 blocks up from Sihanouk Blvd at $1 per kg or $1.5 ironed, they say 24 hour > 015 879 999

I believe Modern has the Sumo Logo, I used the new place on St 113 this week, they log in your clothing with a count of all pieces e.g. shirts / shorts etc, on collection they unpack it and get you to verify the contents are all yours and correct - a nice change, takes a few minutes but beats losing expensive clothing from OS

Modern Laundry on Pasteur was good before, run by a clever your girl. Last week 24 hours became 48 hours and the staff are disinterested and slow. There is a landromat on 154 before 63.
