I think 50k is a bit expensive too, I was offered Cambodian citizenship for 8k two years ago.
people getting cambodian citizenship usually don't do so because they are trying to get all wonderfull social benefits of being a citizen here. usually it has more to do with land, taxes and you can actually change your name when you get cambodian citizenship. which usually mean such people are not too worried about 50 or so grand.
The problem is Cambodian citizenship doesn't give you that much protection in my opinion. Whether it's worth 50k is up the person buying it. The fact you can just buy it says enough about the legal system here and the protection it offers, doesn't it?
I'm afraid even if you have citizenship and some big shot wants your land, you're still fucked.
