Are You Really Satisfied Living In Cambodia?
I guess the mere fact people have chosen to live in Cambodia will weight any responses toward the positive, and one's attitude and general approach to life will be reflected somewhat, but I still wonder how many expats are truly satisfied with their life in Cambodia.

You have been asking many things about Cambodia. what are you worry about ? say it they probably give you the answer.
Not really worried about anything, perhaps other than Idle hands being the devils playground, Jess.Jessy101 wrote:You have been asking many things about Cambodia. what are you worry about ? say it they probably give you the answer.

It is a perfectly reasonable question to ask. Don't attack him for it. Answer the question or not or STFU.
As for me, I feel very satisfied when I am living in Cambodia. I just cannot, as of yet, stay there 100% of the time.

Perfectly satisfied. It's not perfect but it suits me at this point in my life. I have no vested interest here and can leave any time I feel like it. That I haven't yet is telling.
There'd be a higher frequency of satisfaction experienced by those who are able to leave at their leisure as apposed to others restricted by responsibilities, commitments or financial constraints, I guess.alanclarke72 wrote:Perfectly satisfied. Of course it is not perfect, but then what place is?
For me it works better than most other places I've lived.
But yes as you mentioned, little financial constraints and the freedom to take a break whenever I feel like it is a big plus.

I could probably have a much better standard of living in France. But I'm in Cambodia because it's home and the positive impact I have beyond my life by just living and working here is exponentially greater than living in France. So I'm in the "life's (mostly) good" club.
I’ve been contemplating a move to PP for several years now. I’ve never lived there but visit often and stay for upto two months at a time. It’s wonderful from my perspective, a guys’ playground if you will. The people are very friendly, unlike how they are often stereotyped on message boards by tourists and expats alike. Don’t be arrogant and don’t be a cheapskate and you’ll love Cambodia.
Infrastructure it’s lacking in every way imaginable, but if you have money, you can have a nice place to live, and after all that’s where we spend most our time. The traffic is chaotic but it flows and something of a chaotic art in it’s own way. Heck with all of that, what can beat the beautiful smiles of people here, and I’m not simply talking about whores who are anticipating a payday. But normal folk who smile from ear to ear and gesture the sampeah (sp). Cynical bastards might say that’s a fake smile and whatever, but if you understand people and learned anything during your existence then you’ll know otherwise.
Anyhow, my post is for people contemplating moving to Cambodia, and a perspective of a long time visitor and someone who will most likely not move to Cambodia because as I mentioned it’s a guy’s playground. To make my conclusion clear, once a girl (companion) is found, Cambodia is not as appetizing, for me anyway.
