The Reef Restaurant, SHV major renovation
The wood structure in front on the left as you face it is being torn down. That was where some food prep went on.
Rumor is that the owners there also have an interest in the Invito Restaurant and G.H. or vice versa.
The Reef must be one of the handful of places that is actually making money in snooky.

Yeah, the food went downhill the last couple years of Tim's ownership when he no longer gave a shit. I'll have to try 'em again.

It has just changed hands again a couple of months ago. The new owner has hardly started. The last owners had a great Tapas restaurant, but had too much on their plate and sold the Reef in late May or early June.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

Tim spent too much money on the joint considering that he was renting. He even had to build an apartment in the back for the landlady (in addition to his own). Wonder if she's still there ?

Was this a demand she sprang on him after he had bought the business?wackyjacky wrote:He even had to build an apartment in the back for the landlady (in addition to his own). Wonder if she's still there ?

Many days, I see crowds of what look like college kids on gap year coming out of there loading up on excursion buses.MONEYBACKGUARANTEE wrote:Went there a couple months ago. Food sucked and service was terrible.
This must be where they are making their money.

Pretty sure he told me that he built it for her. Whether he did or she claimed it after construction, who knows ?Timeslot Enigmatic wrote:Was this a demand she sprang on him after he had bought the business?wackyjacky wrote:He even had to build an apartment in the back for the landlady (in addition to his own). Just stayed there. 2 new owners from the UK. They are currently extending the seating area out front. Looks like the previous owner left them lots of little things to sort out. They seem to really care for their customers and were very helpful when needed. Rooms need a little going over with small repairs here n there, but were very pleasant overall. Nice pool and friendly staff. I would definitely stay again.
