The Last Reel
The Last Reel
Just received an email from my friend Nick Ray. I'll just copy and paste here for readers information:
The Last Reel is the first full feature film we have made at Hanuman Films with Kulikar directing and me producing. It's won several awards at international film festivals and will finally be released in Cambodia this week. It will showing in all the main cinemas in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap from Friday 4 September and we are in the middle of spreading the word. So if you are able to circulate the below information via your mailing list or on social media, that would be great.
Basically we are trying to spread the word as far and wide as we can in the next few days. The Last Reel Facebook page now has about 10,000 Likes but there is a long way to go.

If you prefer to share in Khmer, there are lots of posts in Khmer as well, such as this one:

I went to the premier a few months back, it's an interesting story and well worth a few hours of your time. It's in Khmer with English subtitles so a good one to watch if your other half is Khmer or want to practice your Khmer listening.
It's also the cover story for the launch issue of The Weekly Phnom Penh
“The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.”

I should think so. Someone told me that they made one of the Director's children a producer of the film.hattrick wrote:Suitable for kids 10 & 12 years old?

looks very interesting
"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
The director has done lots of good Cambodian centric films (and Tomb Raider!) including Wish You Were Here which I found quite good. Brother Number One looks good.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
The Last Reel entered as 2016 Oscars contender.
