a good enough reason NOT to have you as a friend.gavinmac wrote:I once fried a friend's American desktop computer in his flat in London. He had it plugged into a converter and then into the wall. Loud popping sounds, smoke, no more desktop.
and you are better traveled than 99.9999999999% of the 'merican population.
please note I am not saying that ignorance is ingrained in the genetic profile of 'mericans.
people can form their own opinions on that.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
Actually it's pretty unusual for a computer not to have universal voltage power supply . I find this thread depressing. Has expat life in Cambodia really reached the point where an event as mundane as buying a hairdryer becomes a topic for discussion?

That’ll put a new spring in your step, slavedog.
I don't know about depression, but your life won't be as mundane fer sure.
Plus hair dryers are important for those of us with lovely locks of hair, biatch.
Just blowing some hot air up your ass, slavedog.
It's a good thread Lara.
Touché, Agincourt. I'm sorry for the negativity - not my usual style. I do seem to have lost my joie de vivre these last few days.
