We now live in the area of the AEC, and are part of the seventh largest integrated economy in the world. Welcome to a new dawn.
I was thinking a few months ago that I hadn't heard anything about the AEC in Cambodia for at least six months ago - it all seemed to go very quiet. Will it make much of a difference for the Kingdom, or will it be business as usual with rampant corruption, inefficiencies and Cambodia struggling as the lame duck of ASEAN as always?
CNBC seem ambivalent at best.

I've mugged up on a few articles in the national and international media concerning Cambodia this week. The consensus sounds quite sensible and sobering - that Cambodia is unready and will likely, in the short-term at least, be a net loser with Vietnam and Myanmar now being easier for foreign investment. Of course this is all from the English-language media; the Khmer analysis I get is from educated sorts and not necessarily reflective of the majority view or the government policy-makers.
I came, I argued, I'm out

By the time all the committee members finished dipping, they had probably used up the budget.Playboy wrote:About this time last year I believe that the Government set up a committee to study the effects and benefits of AEC for Cambodia, as far as I know, they met once in 2015
