Right where do I begin..
From listening to your past criticism of No Joke Howard's fight performance, I was under the impression that you were a tidy fighter. Well you are far from that. You had absolutely no defence whatsoever, your hands were down way too much. You had awful boxing skills, and just relied on the overhand right. You were slow as hell and looked well chubby. As for heart. When No Joke fought, he continued even with a broken hand, and showed the heart of a lion. When you got smacked on the nose, you quit. In my eyes, you bottled it.
I could tell before the fight that you were worried about your opponent. You were beaten mentally even before the fight began.
Well No Joke Howard deserves a bit of praise, he showed a lot more fight. And he remains unbeaten. I'll probably get some keyboard warriors, or people who lick your ass objecting to my comment. But if you want to trash others, expect to be trashed yourself.

Not missing the 12 hours shifts at Alcoa, Massena, NY.

Yeah, I wasn’t going to mention it again until you mentioned it first,Jamie_Lambo wrote: i didnt really enjoy myself last night though, was my first fight without my usual cornermen that ive had since i started, people who know how i fight and how to guide me, not some cuban guy who doesnt speak english and just keeps shouting "attack attack attack" at me lol
if im to fight here again, im going to have to move up here to PP so i can train properly
but what the hell was this new manager/trainer guy doing?
No sparring partners; dieting on your own; not securing warm-up time for you, etc.!?!?!?!
WTFuckity fuck? Are you sticking with him?
Mind if I visit you in Sihanoukville next week?

it was difficult, the dieting and getting fit i can do myself, but the rest is just as important, the whole experience was a lot less professional than what im used to (i mean i had to get changed in the corridor then walk straight out into the ring with no warm up).... but this is cambodia and a learning experience id only trained with the cuban guy 3 times before that fight lol and he doesnt speak any english so i was just going in blindagincourt wrote:Yeah, I wasn’t going to mention it again until you mentioned it first,Jamie_Lambo wrote: i didnt really enjoy myself last night though, was my first fight without my usual cornermen that ive had since i started, people who know how i fight and how to guide me, not some cuban guy who doesnt speak english and just keeps shouting "attack attack attack" at me lol

curious, why u didn't stop over in Thailand and train,
You would have found everything u need and plenty of sparring partners

It is just part of your great journey Jamie, you will be back stronger and more in tune with these Cambodian ways. You will now have a time to relax, reflect, you will learn from the areas you have identified and build your own strategy to continue to more onward and upward.
For now I hope you enjoy a well earned and deserved cold beer or two.

Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.

I applauded you for your effort yesterday, but now you start coming out with all these excuses (blaming the coach, fitness, diet, warm-up time....'. Give it a rest, admit that you weren't good enough and that he was a much better boxer than yourself. You looked really slow, gasping for air after the 1st round, no real punch power, and you bottled it after having a smack on the nose.
I wasn't gonnna post this, but I can't stand people who make up excuses. You showed that you lack heart.

Jamie owned that he wasn't good on the day
Jamie_Lambo wrote:i just want to thank everyone for the support, i really appreciate it, fighting over here was a little harder than expected due to a number of factors....
1. i had no sparring partners so i couldnt get "ring fit"
2. only had 2 weeks to try and get fit for the fight/make weight
3. i literally hat 10 minutes from getting into my boxing gear to going into the ring, no chance to warm up?!
4. fighting in 8oz gloves at 75kg+ is just stupid! and not boxing (anything above 60kg is 10oz minimum)
5. the 2-3minute gap in between each round really does fuck you up, any advantage you got from the last round is lost, every round is basically the 1st round!
but other than that, i felt like we both traded some big shots against each other through the first 3 rounds, my fitness and stamina let me down, the knock down (which was the first in my 12 year career) came as a shock but it didnt have any lasting effect, once he popped my nose though while my fitness was already shot, i just lost my game completely, which has made me (drunkenly) question how much i actually have left in the tank anymore, maybe it was just a bad night at the office, but i was embarrassed the whole time i was in there, i felt slow, no sharpness, like a novice fighter due to the lack of prep,
but yeah thanks for the support everyone it means a lot

I don't think that he's making any excuses, or blaming anyone else. He has stated the areas where he lacked, and where there's room for improvement in the future. And the fact that he's on here having a discussion with a bunch of armchair experts, while remaining in good spirits and very polite, says a lot more about his character than his ability to simply fight in the ring.
Well this is all a bit odd. Mitch Harris joins and comes on and gives Jamie a hard time and slags him off in comparison to NJH. As a new poster though, his first two or three posts need to be mod approved, which eventually happened after sitting in the system for a while, but not before No Tuk Tuk appears online to offer exactly the same sort of criticism (including similar phrases about bottling it after being smacked on the nose).
As a reminder, No Tuk Tuk is the poster who kept the No Joke Howard thread alive by creating spoof NJH videos.
Have we had young Braeton posting in our midst all this time without realising it?

personally, I thought it was him. He likes the attention, and the only attention he gets is from this forum. I looked at the first video and then didn't bother with anymore as I had decided it was himscobienz wrote:Well this is all a bit odd. I admired the way he shook his opponent's hand after the fight, but since then all I see is nothing but excuses. The guy who called me a 'Wanker' needs to stop licking Jamie's ass and allow for others to have a difference of opinion.Miguelito wrote:I don't think that he's making any excuses, or blaming anyone else. I wouldn't lick your dick let alone anyone's ass. If you hang around long enough you'll find out I don't schmooze anyone. No Tuktuk wrote:I admired the way he shook his opponent's hand after the fight, but since then all I see is nothing but excuses. you can have a difference of opinion, but I'll call you a wanker if it's the opinion of a wanker.

I’m arriving Friday night and will acclimate to Phnom Penh for a couple of days. It’s freakin -10 degrees here right now.Jamie_Lambo wrote: yeah youre more than welcome, im going to look at traveling back possibly wednesday, when you thinking of coming down mate?
I’ll have a look around PP, facefuck NoTuktuk, then head down to Sihanoukville the following week if that’s ok with you?
Will PM you after I arrive.

you can have a difference of opinion, but I'll call you a wanker if it's the opinion of a wanker.
With a name like Violet, I picture you sitting inside your $60/month apartment doing cross stitch, and maybe going to Phnom Penh Salsa on a week night.
Don't mess with me you fucking retard!
No need to reply, you can continue stitching the cactus, then when you're done, give it to yourself for a birthday gift
