Not really. More of a catch-all that includes the narrower idea of fraud.ali baba wrote:Is dodgy paper paper slang for fraud?
And 'paper' two times was a typo, but if you like it we can keep it.

It's you, fuck all has changed in the past six months.Lex47 wrote:
I first visited PP back in February and loved it. Now I'm back for a longer term, and the vibe on the street seems noticeably more bleak, though it may be that I've just become more perceptive of it.

The unemployed youth will be the many many thousands who have arrived in PP in recent years to work in a construction industry that will eventually slow down/is in the process of slowing down and will finally stop. Add that to a garment industry that appears to be slowing down due to wage increases far in excess of other sectors, a lack of productivity and thus a reduction in international competitiveness, and .....Jackal wrote:Where are all these unemployed youth?
Admittedly, I'm in the province, but folk seem pretty busy and wages are rising rapidly.

Hmmm - hilarious. And love the subsequent photo too. Exquisite use of technology - brightened up my day no end. Except the wording was 'WILL BE......' - future tense, as in in the future. Was not answering your question, but pointing out that PP is likely to face severe unemployment issues in the future due to probable structural changes in the economy. Above your head perhaps, but if people here tried looking into the future every now and then instead of into their wallet this place would be a lot less fucked up.Jackal wrote:So, if I read you correctly; you answered my question as to where all the unemployed youth are by saying they are currently employed in the construction and garment industries?
