I'm embarrassed to say I have never looked at my Lucky receipts, but I have noticed prices have jumped considerably over the last 2 years. Recently, I've been using Thai Huot for specialty items and the local markets for fruits and vegetables. Works out pretty well, especially considering my gf does the market shopping alone Next time I go to Lucky, I'll be checking the receipts to see how much of a dumbass I've been for trusting them.
Numbnuts all grown up
Caught the little thieves at it again. Only went in to buy beer and chocolate but just happened to walk past the mayonnaise - special offer 50% off, so thought I'd grab a bottle. Got to check-out, tried to charge full price. Sent someone off to check, sulkily came back and reduced price. No hint of an apology, of course.

On sunday i went to lucky burger to grab a take out treat for the peasant kids on the ranch. Ordered 2 burgers ($1.50 each) and 6 nuggets ($2.50). Handed a $5 and $1 bill.
'Sir 2000 riel more"
'Wut?'
'50 ceeent you give me more'
'Erm no.... 1.5+1.5+2.5=5.5'
This went on, back and forth for an uncomfortable length of time before, with other customers agreeing with my basic understanding of mathematics, until...
'Sorry sir, confused' and my 2000 riel was changed rather than extra demanded. I'd put it down to retardation rather than a lucky corp. conspiracy.

Last time I thought I had found a bargain at lucky - 50% off some canned stuff. It turned out to be over 3 months out of date.

I had something like that happen a while back. The item was priced quite a bit less on the crap shelf labels, which I always check well to see if it is the right product. It's tricky because the labels look like they were made on a 1974 Xerox, so you have to spend a bit too fucking long trying to figure out if the pickles cost $2.79 or $8.98.slavedog wrote:Caught the little thieves at it again. I felt like a dick though telling the cashier it was the wrong price and then hanging around for ages while they sorted it out. I wished I had just said I didn't want the fucking cheese or whatever and left.

I member Lucky Supermarket in Phnom Penh (about a year ago) as the supermarket with possibly the most amount of ripped off price stickers on the shelves of any supermarket in the world.

I like standing there like a dick, the more people in the queue behind me the better.Lucky Lucan wrote:I had something like that happen a while back. Last Sunday, for the very first time, the parking attendant wrote down the correct arrival time on the ticket.
Prior to that, he would always 'backtime' it' (in his favour) by 15-30 minutes.
