So I bought phone credit from a regular small shop, where I've bought from before, throw the card in my wallet and forgot about it.
When I ran out of credit, I scratched off the silver and entered the number. 'Card does not exist'. Tried again, and again, and then noticed an 'SN' number underneath, identical to the 'secret' number. WTF is going on here?
Is it a 'fake' card? Have smart made a fuck up and printed the code for all and sundry to see before buying/scratching off the silver?
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Usually smart just rob my credit after topping up, but this takes the biscuit. Thankfully it was only a dollar... but principles etc.
Here's a photo to prove I'm not going like some other members on here.
Smart scam?
OMFG you got scammed a whole dollar.
Call the FBI !
I agree though.....looks very suss

I used to work for a casino company that gave away scratch cards as a promotion. Like if you played slots for an hour, they gave you a scratch card, something like that.
Most of the time when you scratched the card off, you would win nothing, or virtually nothing. But there were a few great prizes, like you could win a pick up truck if you got the right scratch card.
Legend had it, before I started at the company, that a few years prior, they noticed that certain members of the same family were winning all the big prizes. And those family members were related somehow to one of the casino marketing employees who had custody of the scratch cards before they were handed out to players.
It turns out that she was just going into the closet in her office and shining a flashlight at the back of each card, and by doing so, she could see which scratch cards were the big winners, before they were scratched off. Then she made sure the winning cards were handed out to her family members.

Bad advice considering Smart will block your SIM very fast for that. Why don't you try it yourself and tell us how you think it went?BillyB wrote:Have you tried:
