Too thin?
My girl just returned from a wedding in the province. Relative of a sister at work. Anyways, she went to get her hair and makeup done. She was told by the girl that she had a too thin face and would be unable to do a good job on make up and hair! Since when did Khmer girls start getting fat? Granted after the hair and make up gig my girl looked like a punk rocker reject, but is excuse of your girl is 'too thin' acceptable for a botched wedding job? Or is this the norm for stylists and make-up artists there?
Don't worry, be happy.

Never thought of it that way. 'Youn' girls that I've seen were always on the thick to really thick side.andyinasia wrote:Is 'face too thin' code for'looks like yuon'?

Oh my god... Sorry, brain freeze. My girl doesn't like to use that word (even thought one of her family uses it extensively). She wasn't too happy with implication (which is probably correct). Thanks AiA.

Obviously it's not a term I'd use; I was suggesting the rude people might think that way.newkidontheblock wrote:Oh my god... Sorry, brain freeze. In the spirit disclosure and of having to be completely crystal clear for the OP to understand. I was implying my surprise that he thought that the Vietnamese girls he had seen were usually on the 'really thick side'. Its my fault for implying it with his very own words which caused his confusion.
