Highway Robbery
I'm glad they were successful,
I paid a lot of cash to get your phone nicked and get access to the business contacts it contained.
Hey Mister, how much you pay for Phone ?
I steal it from a guy called Hugh,
He has many pretty picture of lady on it.
For you - Very cheap $100 dollar.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

You definitely should not be chasing after them, they can take your phone but not your life. You almost killed yourself over a damned cell phone? Think about that.
Those pricks will likely OD from the drugs they buy with phone proceeds and if not their life span is expected to be pretty short as it is. Don't chase after fools in this scenario again, sure you put their lives in danger but you also put yours. And which is more valuable?

Definitely not a smart move on your part to go after them. Second error was not taking the single rider down. Once you have him, you have the other two after the Cambodian po-po get through with him. A good hard kick to his front wheel would have solved your problems I reckon.

Why didn't you just make the single rider fall when you were close to him? Once confronted with the cops he would have had to hand his friends over.
I've given a similar hot pursuit twice. Not for my items, but once for a thief who unsuccessfully tried to bagsnatch from a tuktuk, and once when two guys on a motorbike grabbed the phone out of a foreign woman's hand (both times I saw the incident from behind). Second time I got people to throw rocks at them which was somewhat satisfying (though they did get away). Gets your blood pumping...

I read all the accolades for playboy here and elsewhere regarding this matter.
Sorry, but risking your life, and far more importantly; the lives of the innocent people on the street, who may have got in the way of your 'heroics' with this activity?
And all over a phone?
Poor form. Very poor form.
Playboy, your reputation should dictate that you lead by example as an expat.
