HTs iguanas - plural - must have escaped a few years ago. I had one of them visit my Balcony a few years back. Another massive fella, about a metre long, was clinging to a power line on the corner of MTT and Monivong.

It is actually a Green Peafowl and I question the legal status of keeping one of those.

True, but what a life: well out of its habitat, no mates, improper diet....Felgerkarb wrote:Normally would be dinner save for the owner....

TEFLER's seem to survive fine for years though..Even thrive in many cases.
My bet is that he's doing fine on all the left over baguettes, but suffers abit of IBS with the chillie sauce.
PS, isn't it normal for peacocks to have no mates if they are telling every other bloke to fcuk off by showing their impressive feathers every five minutes??

Peafowl are social and will roost together. There used to be a huge roost in Seima Forest but they have been all poached out.

Did you ever get to see them in the wild?Hanno wrote:Peafowl are social and will roost together. There used to be a huge roost in Seima Forest but they have been all poached out.
I like those white heron like birds that often seem to sit on top of buffalos. Why do they hang around the buffalos? Do they feed on the ticks or something?

The birds you describe are Cattle Egret. One of the most widespread birds, occurring in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. They like to stick around large grazers to benefit from the insects the animals flush as they move through the grass.

My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.
